11 persons have been killed on Saturday morning as gunmen, suicide bombers suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists attacked a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State.

We understands that the suicide bombers, two of them, accompanied by a gunman, infiltrated a mosque in Kushari village behind old CBN quarters Maiduguri at about 5:30am.

Damian Chukwu, the Police Commissioner in the state, said in a statement that, an “On-the-spot assessment at the scene revealed that at about 0540hrs gunmen suspected to be BH terrorists & suicide bombers infiltrated Gwozari/Kushari in Polo general area, Maiduguri shooting sporadically & detonated IEDs strapped to their bodies.”
