Unknown gunmen on Saturday shot and killed All Progressives Congress Governorship(APC) Chairman in Ohimini Local government area of Benue State, Mr. Boniface Okloho.

Late Okoloho was said to be on his way home from a party function when he was hit by some yet-to-be-identified assailants. Okoloho was until his gruesome murder, the leader of the party in Ohimini, a local government in the Zone C senatorial district of Benue State.

Director of Publicity, APC, James Ornguga who confirmed the killing to our correspondent on Sunday said the party was conveying a stakeholders meeting after which it would make its position known on the matter.

Meanwhile, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Barr. Emmanuel Jime has strongly condemned the assassination of Okloho.

Jime, in a statement by the Communications Directorate, Jime/Ode Campaign Organization, expressed deep sorrow over the gruesome murder of the late party chieftain, and sued for peace and brotherliness in the politics of the state.

The Governorship hopeful also commiserated with the family of the deceased, the people of Ohimini local government and the entire Zone C, even as he enjoined them to take solace in God.
