Barcelona fans seem unsatisfied with Lionel Messi over the weekend despite scoring the only goal that helped them beat Real Vallodolid in one of the La Liga matches.

The Argentine failed to double his side's lead in the 85th minute after shooting their second penalty kick of the match off target.

Though, the Catalans have opened a seven point gap over second-placed over Atletico Madrid, the club's supporters faulted Messi's approach to the game.

The 31-year-old has scored 30 goals in 29 appearances for the Catalans in all competitions this campaign.

Not too long ago, he reached a milestone after becoming the first player to score 400 La Liga goals in the history of the competition.

Daily Mail reports that some of the fans picked out where Ousmane Dembele bursts into the Valldolid half, but Messi failed to connect with the Frenchman after threading a pass to him.

The Twitter user is adamant that the 31-year-old has misjudged the situation terribly, forgetting that even Usain Bolt might have issues sprinting into the space.

OP... This is just someone's opinion (Only him) and not Barcelona fans... Even if Messi starts scoring own goals, we still love him, That guy has done a lot for us to criticise him.... Suarez was very poor in that game, missing key chances and as for Messi, the Valladolid GK was just at his best last weekend if not the scoreline would have been brutal.
