London Actors Workshop is London’s popular 12 week acting classes programme based in the heart of theatreland. We’ve designed our acting classes for aspiring and likewise professional actors looking to get work. First of all, we offer a practical, intensive series of highly specific acting classes primarily focussed on TV/Film. Finally, we give students the chance to showcase their talents to casting directors and agents at a London show case.

London Actors Workshop is a successful series of acting classes now in its thirteenth year. The industry has become a success that it now has branches in over thirty countries in the world. Classes focus on key acting techniques and skills we feel any actor who is serious about working will benefit from Professional actor Jonathan Sidgwick who runs the London Actors Workshop and brings almost twenty years experience to the classes. Similarly, highly experienced, industry-leading tutors teach classes in their own field of expertise. Consequently, students only work with tutors with a working knowledge of the TV, film and theatre industry.

London Actors Workshop is one of the most successful series of acting classes in London today. Every detail of the course is focused and practical to help actors actually get work. Since 2005, the acting classes have helped numerous graduates find representation and work across film, TV and theatre. Consequently, many of our graduates, unable to follow the traditional 3 year drama school route, have gained a strong foothold in the industry.

COURSE TRAINING SESSION:
Our experienced tutors teach you different techniques required for acting On Camera. These include relaxation, focus, intentions & obstacles as well as practical tips like ‘eye lines’ and ‘hitting your marks’. You will have watch yourself back on screen followed by a discussion on how you might improve. The classes also feature an in-depth look at the casting process for Commercials and TV/Film. Therefore, you’ll be totally prepared and ready for any situation arising in an audition or on set….perfect!

OUR SERVICES
amongst our various services includes:

In depth Acting Classes: We’ll cover a wide variety of invaluable topics. These include Improvisation, Method Acting, Acting in On Going Drama, Sight Reading, Audition Technique & Screen Combat. You’ll learn to analyse text using monologues & duologues and scenes from films/TV/ plays/devised pieces of drama.

Casting: On three Sunday evenings during the course, a working Casting Director will visit the class. Over the next three hours, the Casting Director will give advice on what they actually look for when casting a role. First of all, you will perform in front of them, with a prepared script or a script to be given on the night. Secondly, you’ll receive valuable feedback on your interpretation of the script. Finally, you’ll take part in a Q&A covering all aspects of the business. As a result you’ll be fully prepared when presenting yourself for acting work. A great opportunity to meet three casting directors over three evenings!

Showcase: At the end of the 12 Sunday acting classes students take part in a Show Case evening held at a Central London theatre. We produce a professional flyer with actors head shots to promote the event. This is an excellent opportunity to ‘show case’ your talent to invited industry professionals. Likewise you can celebrate all your hard work with your friends and family. A great night out for the audience to see the results of your hard work in a presentation of dramatic duologues!

Marketing: Crucial to any acting career! We’ll give you detailed guidance and support to build your acting CV and market yourself to industry. You’ll have the opportunity to have your head shots taken by a professional photographer. This is one of the most important and overlooked elements of many acting courses. Our graduates who go on to secure representation and bookings as a result of the course will testify to this. Ask any actor – a professional approach to marketing yourself as an actor is absolutely critical to success!
