Starting a bakery buisness isn't as easy as it looks but can be very rewarding. The basic machinery you'll need are a mixer , miller , divider , weighing device/machine , slicer , sealing machine and of course an oven.
You can start on a smaller level by making a tub for the mixer & you use hands to mix and also a mud oven can also be constructed. If you need detailed info on setting up , materials , sales and production I'll be glad to email you. Send a blank email to soulapocalypse@yahoo.co.uk .

Re: Starting Up A Bakery by Nobody: 6:53pm On Sep 18, 2010
The materials needed are flour , sugar , salt , improvers ( EDC , BR3 , Alphamalt e.t.c ) , yeast , preservatives , margarine , eggs , flavors and quite a number of things. What you ought to know is that like other businesses the bakery and confectionery biz also has its own risk. A lot of people who rush into it crash out in the end and the most important qualities you need are diligence , perseverance and the knack to know how to predict the market. If I have to write about the biz a 50 page write up wouldn't do. From production to marketing to procurement , a mistake in decision can be costly. If you need to go through the process a visit to a standard bakery would be vital , anyone willing to learn can call me up for or come over to my bakery at 5 Alhaja Adijatu Lawal close , Mafoluku Oshodi. I'm not charging anyone so feel free to learn.

@alanbolo
Thanks brother I'll be available whenever you are available
@gtrust
It's easy to put a price on the start up capital , it can range from 2million to 20million. There are options for those who have less and can actually rent a bakery at a minimal cost.
2jaytime
may god bless you too

Hi Apocalypse, I hope its not too late to take you up on your offer. My husband & a friend of his recently invested in a small bakery at Sango area & they've had problems running it, mainly on account of their little knowledge in that line of business. I'll definitely be passing on your number & address to them.
I think you are very kind & may God continue to bless you.

I'm a customer support officer with Golden Penny. So glad to fall in here with the tagged "give us our daily bread". You can buy flour from Golden Penny as a baker/bakery. We have 2 types of flour. Prime flour and confectionery flour, you can use both in bread making, but it depend on what you want to bake. Each bag of prime flour (GPF) goes for N6900 and confectionery flour (GPCF) goes for N6600. A sales officer and bakery support officer will be attach to you in order to guide you through sales strategy of your bakery and adequate standard operating and management procedure of your bakery. Shine your eyes! Don't give a kobo to anyone that you want to become a distributor/dealer with Golden Penny. You can make your enquiry about golden penny flour only since the forum is for flour/bakery related business, and for the other products, follow this link and make your enquiry and your complain on Golden Penny products www.nairaland.com/1384430/golden-penny-distributorship-enquries-customers#17699041

Dear,
Go meet the Prof in Baking/Bakery First..

I did my I.T in Flour Mills of Nig Plc's Q/c and Bakery.
I learnt that the commercial/local bakeries have missed the real thing.

Try to get an appointment with the Specialists, it will help you.

You can also visit;

Big Treat Bakeries and
ButterField Bakeries,

not forgetting the Masters;

Flour Mills of Nig Bakery and
Honeywells Bakery.

Good luck.
:-)
