Hello, Well People of Nairaland.
Do you know that one of the greatest killers of romance between couples is Stress?
Indeed, stress, for a lot of people, acts as a depressant. It causes many to lose interest in the activities they once enjoyed with their partners.
Stress has even been known to drastically reduce the libido which is the urge to have sex with one's partner.

A lot of relationships start to head toward the end when one or both partners start to experience great stress from work, family, responsibilities, expectations and even Lagos traffic (Lagos people know how bad the traffic has got lately).

Stress doesn't have to be the end of your love, people!
Here are a few ways to manage your stress and give yourself and your partner a better quality of life.

1) Sleep: People say no rest for the wicked but are you wicked? Lol. Getting good sleep is key for keeping stress levels in check. 6-8 hours a night on the minimum is good. It is even better when you are holding/being held by your lover. wink

2) cook right, eat right: not everytime rice and chicken! Please there is a whole world of fruits and veggies to be tried. Balancing out your diet across the different food groups so you can get as many nutrients as you possible is a good idea. Lagosians eat a lot of rice, too much salt and oils. Rice goes with so many vegetable soups and raw veggies so there's no reason why you can't still eat healthy. And cooking with your lover is also another fun and sexy thing you guys can get up to.

3) Regular Massages: so if a person's body is rubbed, by the same person, for a period of time, feel-good hormones are released and this is really great for destressing. But do you know what is better? You and your lover getting a massage together. Both parties dismiss the stress and afterwards, find themselves in the best mood for getting into some other fun activities together. Massages once in a while are nice but they are most effective in handling stress when the massages are done regularly.
