The Police Election Masterplan in Akwa Ibom: What is our crime?

Democracy is at risk in Nigeria. That is why lovers of democracy should rise in unison to condemn the attack by the police and other security agencies prior to the upcoming general elections.

On the 19th of November last year, a saddening scenario occurred in Akwa Ibom State, this was the unlawful invasion of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly by the sacked State Lawmakers, Nse Ntuen, Idong Ituen, Otobong Udo, and Gabriel Toby and this, were shielded by the men of the Nigerian Police Force. Within six days, three different Police Commissioners were deployed to the State, but finally, Mr. Musa Kimo was given the work on a platter of gold, knowing how vigorously he has always defended the APC's interest.

Prior to the Saturday's Presidential and National Assembly elections tomorrow, the Nigerian Police Force is on a routine of changing Commissioner of Police in charge of the State and finally, has portrayed the most peaceful State in West Africa as a combat zone which needs serious attention.

Sequel to the promotion of Mr. Musa Kimo as the AIG, Mr. Makama was deployed to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command. Upon his arrival, he insisted that the duty of the Nigerian Police Force was to protect the rule of law, lives and properties, so he was not ready to compromise his integrity by throwing himself into the mud of partisanship. This, he went into a deal signing with the INEC REC towards conducting a free, fair and credible elections in the State. This to President Buhari, Inspector General of Police, Akpabio and his APC cohorts is not the sole purpose of his deployment to the State, so must be redeployed to another State.

With this development, Mr. Ibrahim S. Kaoje was deployed to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command as the new Police Commissioners thirty three hours ago. Upon his resumption into office, his first assignment was convening a meeting with the APC Chieftains two nights ago at Le Meridien, which he instructed them to go back to their different polling units, ensuring they make available means of identification to all the APC supporters for easy identification during the election tomorrow.

This has expressed deep concern and people have resorted in asking series of questions. Is the Nigerian Police Force now a department in the party APC?
Why the incessant breakdown of law and order in Akwa Ibom State by the men of the Police Force?

From informations gathered, the Nigerian Police Force is yet to post an Assistant Police Commissioner to the State. This is a purposeful act towards craving an avenue for Mr. Brown or Akpabio's younger brother, Mr. Idorenyin Akpabio to act as the Assistant Police Commissioner so that all their ungodly plans could be fulfilled. The Police Force has perfected plans towards working in pari pasu with the State APC in shooting and killing PDP supporters in the election with an excuse that they're ballot snatchers. This is the sole reason the new Police Commissioner had asked the APC Chieftains to provide means of identification to all APC voters ahead of tomorrow's election. The question is, why are they so desperate in winning Akwa Ibom State?

We know that their agenda is to cause mayhem in Akwa Ibom State during the elections so that the already existing peace in the state could be truncated, thereby projecting it as a citadel of violence. This, INEC in view of the security challenges would cancel Akwa Ibom elections, fixing a fresh date for it. This is a strategy to deploy more security agents into the State so they could maltreat and threaten supporters during the refixed election date to enable them rig the elections comfortably in favor of Akpabio and APC. They know we know their plan. The peace in Akwa Ibom State today is threatened by men of the Nigerian Police Force despite our strives toward making the State accommodating and peaceful for all.
Nigerian Police Force, President Buhari and Sen. Akpabio what is our crime?
