What made u think that the next senate president should come from the south? |
Re: The Next Senate President! by panalyst(m): 6:34pm On Apr 25, 2007 |
accordin g to the rotation it is. You cant have a northern president and a northern sentate president. It is going to be zoned to the south west. The south east will pick up the lower house, |
Re: The Next Senate President! by fbajomo: 12:45pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
I like the sound of Senator Kola Bajomo (No relations here) |
Re: The Next Senate President! by chx: 1:58pm On Apr 27, 2007 |

Re: The Next Senate President! by tatajega(m): 2:02pm On Apr 27, 2007 |

Re: The Next Senate President! by Bankole01(m): 2:11pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
Shows what you guys know about Nigerian arrangee politics. Iyabo Obasanjo was already tipped for the job of senate president, just as Yar'Adua and all the selected (excuse me, i mean elected) PDP winners were. dat na gofment magic!! |
Re: The Next Senate President! by McKren(m): 2:12pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
watch out for any second term senator from North-Central or Southwest |
Re: The Next Senate President! by firstborn: 2:50pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
Iyabo OBJ as senate pres Nigerian shld brace up for a senate that is truely a ministry under the executive, with Yaradua acting out OBJ's script and Iyabo legitimizing illegalities, Abeg , I bind it in Jesus name. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by Beline(f): 3:04pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
Iyabo Obj for Senate President, power must come back home though I don't subcribe to this idea |
Re: The Next Senate President! by oggboy(m): 4:58pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
lets try to be objective and stop following nigerian press. there are sometimes the cause of our troubles, they just incite the aide this kind of rumours to sell thier papers without proper investigation. amongs those who have won, what do we know about thier antecedents, bio data, etc. iyabo has be touted to be the senate president does she possess the qualities not minding if she is the baba's daughter.others like Dr.BODE OLAJUMOKE.from ondo state etc and even people from north central. Nigeria is bigger than any of this people,we shuold not continue to condone,by giving it prominence.we shuold be avanguard to say this is who we have choosen, |
Re: The Next Senate President! by panalyst(m): 5:08pm On Apr 27, 2007 |
@tafari. The north have the presidency so its not possible for them to head both the executive and the legislative. Thats how this is. It is definetely going to the South West. Whether Iyabo gets it or not is another story entirely. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by enohj2ee(m): 8:58am On Apr 28, 2007 |
I don't argue but naja my people just hold and see the next senate president comes from North central and senator David Mark the only Life time senator in Nigeria has take it forget other plan and wait to see it happy thanks The appostle |
Re: The Next Senate President! by fbajomo: 12:14pm On Apr 28, 2007 |
it does not matter where the next senate president comes from as long as he is just , fair and knows how to do the job, all we want I presume is someone who will be able to help push the country forward, all this he said she said about zoning here and there is nonsense, just let us hope someone who is credible and able is put in the position |
Re: The Next Senate President! by DisGuy: 2:37pm On Apr 28, 2007 |
the next senate president should be a female not iyabo though thought she was vying for the senator of he state or something. How many women won during the last election sef? |
Re: The Next Senate President! by fbajomo: 5:10pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
Do you guys think Omisore will be the next senate President?? |
Re: The Next Senate President! by 9ja4eva: 6:39pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
NO It should be someone from the East. Why cant we have Nnamani back?Hes been great too. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by Afam(m): 6:59pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
panalyst: OBJ and Nnamani are from the South so having the North control both the executive and the legislature is very likely. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by fbajomo: 7:34pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
I Agree with you on that one!!!! |
Re: The Next Senate President! by Nobody: 9:26pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
how come all the yoruba people austincrow touted for senate prez are either criminals or men of doubtful integrity? wonder if its a subtle reflection on the parlous state of political human capital in the Yoruba nation plus why should rookie senators even be touted for the post of senate president? they would spend almost the entire four-year term learning the ropes |
Re: The Next Senate President! by donan(m): 9:57pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
Guys d geopolitcal region thing dey work for dis senate president selection wow. Afam said Obasanjo and Ken are from d south but he has forgotten abt one office called the office of the vice president which is from d north. d senate president can either come from southwest most likely, north central or probably northeast. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by monshege: 10:01pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
there is no way the senate president would be zoned to the north or south west. north gets presidential seat, west gets vice, and east gets the senate. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by frenchman(m): 10:15pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
it will be either iyabo or kamoru |
Re: The Next Senate President! by oge4real(f): 10:23pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
I would have been interested if it really counts in this country.what matters most here is that 4 as much as PDP is still 'ruling', they can manipulate 'anybody' 2 dance 2 their music. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by donan(m): 10:29pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
Who is the vice from west. Let me assume dat u are not refering to Goodluck. Cos may be PDP decided to change vp some 30min ago. |
Re: The Next Senate President! by monshege: 10:36pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
donan: abi na play play or joke. PDP wan change Goodluck? who dem wan put as vice? who said i no like my country, where anything is possible |

Re: The Next Senate President! by fbajomo: 10:44pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
@Ziddy Kola Bajomo is not a thief, He was a former president of ICAN and he is one of the founding investors of Tripple Gee and has worked as a director in Union Bank . His pedigree is impeccable and does not have any roguish qualities in him,. and besides, was Nnamani not a rookie senator!!!! |
Re: The Next Senate President! by jandonguy: 10:56pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
@ziddy I take it you have something agaianst yoruba senators, was Nnamani not a rookie when he became senate president what is wrong with the Yoruba people being touted, say for the exception of Iybo Obasanjo whoe candidacy we can attribute to nepotism, but the rest are okay especially Kola Bajomo and Omisore, they are technically sound in their fields especially Kola Bajomo who is a well know in the finacial matters and Banking sector. please don't bring tribalism to this thing!!!!! |
Re: The Next Senate President! by DisGuy: 11:02pm On Apr 30, 2007 |
