Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot has reacted to the meltdown of his supposed move to Barcelona by sacking his agent – who happens to be his mother.

Rabiot is in the final six months of his deal in Paris and could have signed a pre-contract arrangement with Barca, but his representative and mother failed to find a deal over the line.

That collapse proved an intolerable strain on the group’s working relationship, also Rabiot has since relieved her of her responsibilities,
