The Rise And Rise Of President Mohammed Buhari by ejimatic: 12:45pm On Feb 27, 2019
The build up to the presidential election that took place on 23 February was overwhelming with supporters of the two major contestants indicating their love for their choices with online voting and likes and shares for them as they desired .Different views were expressed and opinions given on the election As a Nigerian who understands the dynamics of Nigerian politics I postulated as follow. 1.If Atiku and PMB lined up for an election in the North the retired General would defeat Atiku massively. 2. If OBJ spent 8years as the president from the south PMB would spend 8 years from the north.3. Power must shift in 2023 and the South East should team up with the south west for the actualisation of Igbo presidency in 2023. 4. The North would never ever abandon PMB 5.Those pushing Atiku and stage managing acceptability for him would abandon him later for they know he would never win 6. PDP has been tagged with corruption and looting in Nigeria 7 Many Nigerians believe in sincerity and accountability of Buhari. 8. The South west would still give PMB votes needed to complement his victory. 9. The South East would regret their not supporting South west for Igbo presidency in 2023 with this 2019 election. Many Nigerians were happy with what I said but some online gangsters and hooligans who don't understand the dynamics of the Nigerian politics flared up and believed the South East was on a just cause.Every Nigerian is entitled to his opinion. As the election was getting closer the Igbo's were gattering support for Obi while the Yoruba's were also giving tacit support for Osinbajo and the Hausa's were ready to make their son PMB happy. On the day of the election. as early as 2am voters in Kaduna Kaduna and katsina had been on queues for the election while online voters were still sleeping .The Yorubas and Igbo's however came out to fulfill their civic duties. At the end Buhari won while Atiku became a loser once again. All those who were pushing him Fayose Obasanjo. Saraki Dogara buried their heads in shames. Why did Atiku lose the election? 1. He had been tagged with corruption If PDP had changed its name maybe it would be a different story. It is a party known for corruption and looting and careless spending. It is believed that the party made Nigeria go into recession in 2015 fulfilling Okonjo Eweala prediction on Nigerian economy basterdized by the party. 2.It is believed by many Nigerians that if Atiku OBansajo spent 8 years achieving nothing for Nigeria no hope in economic solution of Atiku Obi combination.3 Atiku compounded his problem by honestjy saying he would spend NNPC.That was what they did in their inglorious 8 years selling Nigeria s property and sharing the money...NItel Osogbo steel rolling. Iwopin mill. Oku Iboku. NEPA etc all sold money shared. It was PMB that has been paying those laid off by force then.If NNPC is sold it would affect notherners whose livelihood hinges on NNPC...4Atiku was relying on those who hold no water and have no influence in Nigeria s politics...Obasanjo Fayose Saraki Ohanese Gbenga Daniels. Galadinma. Fanikayode Omokiri etc are insignificant in the Nigerian politics. 5.Many people still believe in the South west that PMB is a man of honesty who can still be trusted with money unlike Share it people in PDP. 6. The north still believes in PMB more than Atiku .His sincerity and anti corruption are appreciated in the country. Those who hate Buhari are thieves who don't have access to national treasury again but want to come back by all means.7. The PDP is not a well organised party that could defeat he structure of APC with many senators and governors in about 25 states in Nigeria. At this juncture the question is why did PMB win again? The rise and rise of PMB in the recent election is as a result of the following: 1 The northerners love him with passion and are ready to die for him. 2. The north believe that he is not responsible for Bokhaaram attack in the north East. The president even swept into action by assisting the victims in the affected area unlike PDP that was sharing North East intervention fund among themselves during Jonathan's era. 3. Many people in the south west still believe in PMB and that made him win well in three states while the remaining three states still gave APC votes that complemented its victory.4.Akpabio Orj Kalu and others in the south East and south added to the acceptability of PMB and made have significant votes in the regions.5..PMB appears to be a mature president who does not bother about calumny or aspersion cast on his name by some Nigerians especially on the economic condition of the country. He appears to know what he is doing. 6. The population of the north is also an advantage. In the south west and south south we limit the size of our families unlike the north where a woman can have ten children .In my observation the population difference will be there forever. 7.The attitude of the north to voting is remarkable. They woke up as Early as 2 am to line up for the voting exercise when many people in the south were still on bed and when they woke up they went online to chat with their friends. Some don't even have PVC.. What are the winners in the election? 1 PMB .. despite castigation of his name he won the election. 2 APC 3 All Nigerians who believe in a good Nigeria without corruption. 4 The masses who are benefiting from the PMB policies. and hope things would be better. Who are the losers in the election? 1. Atiku Abubakar. His hope dashed again to rule Nigeria.2 PDP. 3. South East I am of the opinion that south east should produce the next president in 2023.This would be possible if the region teamed up with the south west now in 2019.Regrettably south east was following Atiku because of Obi . APC would never ever accept an Igbo candidate in 2023.Are they not losers? What can KANU do for them.? A man that will hear a gunshot and run away .Is that the way Ochukwu fought for the Igbo's?A friend of mine whom I respect so much online said three days ago that he desired South East and south south presidency...I agree with him ..If APC considers South south who will consider south east ..Okorocjha and Kalu spoke vehemently on this to his people did they listen? Will the north support South East or south south? In my opinion South east is taking a step forward and thirty steps backward with their thoughtless decision. to fight alone for recognition.Nigerian politics has gone beyond that .You must show sense of belonging to other regions to rule as president. 4. Obasanjo. ..With this development Politically he is dead in Nigeria.Same goes with Fayose Fanikayode Gbenga Daniels Omokiri and others greedy politicians who want Atiku to come back so as to have access to our treasury again. The rise and rise of PMB is divine with his integrity and anti corruption giving him the credibility to qualify and be voted for. The wanted him dead..He did not die. They said he could not campaign. He did it.He has answers for every doubt and question. Finally I congratulate PMB on his victory and all Nigerians on sustenance of our
democracy .I sympathise with those who sustained injuries in any form during the election and the families of those who lost their lives during the election in some violent areas. With this election result Power shift is certain and non negotiable in 2023.The north is aware of this already since it has been our practice in the new Nigeria midwived in 1999. God Bless Nigeria ..... Ejimatic... 27/2/2019
