Momo is a popular online suicide game that encourages or brainwashes innocent children to bring harm upon themselves.

The challenge is handled by an anonymous controller who possesses children to take harmful steps towards gradually hurting and isolating themselves, they are then eventually told to kill themselves.

The game features the creepy face of a bulgy-eyes female character which was created by Japanese special effects firm Link Factory, but the company is not involved in the online suicide game.

There have been reported cases of parents who claimed their children were possessed by the sinister game character.

One of the reporters, Ms Dixon said:

”He showed me an image of the face on my phone and said that she had told him to go into the kitchen drawer and take out a knife
