Hi my guy, i here your plight but remember UK is not your country. Please do not be fooled by this Human right nonsense and UK being the cradle of democracy. The fact remains that they do not consider foreigners especially from African relevant or necessary for their country. They are millions in Nijar surviving despite the bad leadership apparent in our country. Please come home, stay out of corruption and questionable politics. Trust me, if you make u millions in 9ja by the grace of God and decide to go the Uk High commission in 3 years purporting to invest in their country - they will give u visa and resident permit. So, please leave this detention centre and face your destiny back home. Stay bless. Ajo o le da bi ile. |

I don't feel sorry for this immigration offender - you deserve what you got and to be honest you are raising silly points especially when you say majority of people guarding the detention are whites British and only a few minorities - well majority of UK's population (over 92%) is still WHITE so maybe it's a proportionate representation. However that said - I will have to also admit that UK as a country has gone MAD - they are unsure about what they want to do with immigration or non-white peoplel. There is definitely a high level of institutional racism especially in the UK border agency and British police. I am an Indian who came to the UK on an investment category visa under which I had intentions to invest substantial amounts of money and create a few jobs for settled british residents. Unlike many other immigrants who come for job opportunities - I came only to invest and live a happy life in Britain however despite holding an investment category visa I was constantly harassed at UK borders each time re-entering the UK. I traveled extensively in Europe on visitor visas and even on a visit visa I was never harassed or questioned or detained like I was at UK borders not once or twice but more than 7 or 8 times. The first time I landed in UK on an investor visa - I flew on first class in a prestigious airline where I was escorted by the airline staff to the fast track lane for VIP's at heathrow - as soon as my turn came for entry into the UK - the visa officer hands me a slip which says - I am detaining you for further questioning. And then they walked me over to a detention area and made me wait there while chekcing my background details. Is this a way to welcome someone with a visa that already states clearly - investment category having shown proof of substantial funds to invest in the UK economy. And besides if I was already given the visa at the UK embassy in my home country - then why do I have to face this upon landing in UK the very first time? DIdn't they check everything about me before issuing a visa in the first place? The immigration officer was obviously a white woman - and seemed to take pleasure in detaining me getting off a first class flight and entering on an investor visa. Which country treats people like this?? If you hold investor visas to most other countries - they roll out the red carpet for you - but in UK they treat you like a criminal suspect. I asked this officer if I can wait behind her desk which she carries out her checks - as I feel very humuliated to be walked over and made to sit in the detention area - but she refused and insisted I follow her instructions or I will get in serious trouble. They are racist shit to the core - that is a fact and they hate everyone - they only need immigrants to put us down - no matter how wealthy we are and how legal we are. I have NEVER once been treated with respect while entering UK - each time I have had to encounter the utmost of nastiness and rudeness as well as disrespect. Many times they detain me for no valid reasons or giving ridiculous excuses like I had a visa rejection in the past (which is another long story) but I also had more than 5 valid UK visas stamped on my passport and a solid travel history to the UK - more than 20 times but in UK the more you travel in and out of that country - they more they SUSPECT you. They are mental - seriously mental and obsessed with terrorism, immigration and criminality - despite all their strict controls UK still has the highest rate of violent crime in all the western world - and most crime in UK is carried out no by the 8% non-white immigrants but rather by the majority 92% whites. Britain has always had a history of criminals - that is why they needed a penal colony like Australia to ship off the vast number of white british criminals in the old days, because there was not enough space to keep all the criminals in Britain. Anyway - to finish my story - the officer came back after a while and handed my passport saying you are free to go now - as if I had some criminal trial and was given the pity entry in her awful country, and this exact behaviour is repeated almost every time I traveled back into the UK on a valid visa. I have been through so much hell living even as a wealthy immigrant in UK that I decided to quit the country forever and moved to continental europe, now I live in a stunning country much better and much more sophisticated than UK - where I never faced even one single problem with the immigration controls - they see I have a high level investment grade visa - and always welcome me with a smile. Like all big empires - UK's days are also over and whatever little is left of them - they will crumble eventually from their own homegrown issues. I don't think immigrants in UK were all that bad as the lazy yobs and chavs and majority of aggressive British people are. Spent 2 years in Britain and never again - I don't even feel like going back to the country due to all the unpleasantness I have had to face - for what - to invest a bit of money there and do something good. I first went to UK with a lot of enthusiasm and high spirit - and their initial welcome was such a turn off that all my enthusiasm and spirit went to hell, on that very first day of arriving in Britain - due to which I was in depression for over 6 months and had to go through professional help to get better. UK enjoys insulting foreigners but they also rely heavily on foreign money - and sooner or later they will feel the pinch of being nasty to foreigners - especially innocent visitors and wealthy investors like me who are the target of their racist bullshit. They very well know we are not there to cause any harm - but they deliberately use their intimidating powers to put us down. I complained many many times about this behaviour and each time I got an answer saying I was treated the same way any other person in similar circumstances as mine would be treated - well how can I prove that I know for a fact that a white americans or a white australian is never treated this way coming on an investor category visa to the UK even the first time they enter. P.S. - a note to all those Indians who live in UK and CLAIM they have never been discriminated - please stop lying and be proud of your roots, whatever little money Britain has today was stolen from my country, and I hope one day they have to pay it back, with INTEREST. 1 Like |

InvestorEU: Interesting. Without trying to justify the illegitimacy of overstaying, I still feel a bit of sympathy for the illegal immigrants, many of whom are victims of a global vicious cycle. Most of us are from countries deliberately impoverished through the activities of imperialist nations like Britain, who have built their wealth on the backs of many other nations. When people illegally immigrate to countries like Britain, it's not really out of some innate mischievous desire to live abroad illegally, it's just a struggle to survive. Most are actually in dire straits at home. For those Africans more fortunate to live in those countries legally, we should consider the road we took to get there. Everybody at the end of the day enjoyed some level of benevolence, be it Tier 1, Visa Lottery, or H1B, whatever name it is called. If you didn't, maybe your parents did. None of us have British ancestry anyway, and there's nothing really wrong with moving to another country to make a living. In fact it is the welfare system that seems to be causing problems for Britain, else why the whole hue and cry about immigration and public funds? Like Fela said 'wetin united inside United Nations?' For us Africans, we should start thinking like the Asians. How do we join hands and improve life in our countries of origin, so millions more will not be forced down the immigration road? |

All I can say is article 8 of the immigration act, whatch out british women you are a disposable commodity. Any foreigner can move here and marry in seven days!!! Ooooh what a quick relationship. And once your involved with an over stayer you'll be involved with, lies, fraud, deceit and a man who has no chance of remaining faithful. After the 10-15 year route to visa has been satisfied you'll be left broken and humiliated, I have 1st hand experience and know many other women who have been used this way!!! Article 8 of the human right act 'my right to a wife and family' Labour created it and now has blood on their hands. My family are now having threats off an over stayer to keep quiet. |

AngieFan: so the BRITISH do not Emigrate to Africa. or you are saying they didn't break the law when they came to Africa or that what happened in South Africa is not a big enough crime. |
