Below is the Dr. Goodluck Jonathan's comment about the 2011 presidential elections

Let me dedicate today to thank all of you who have in your reactions and comments on this page urged me to run in the forth coming 2011 presidential elections. Like I said elsewhere, offering myself for further service is not my decision to make alone. It is one decision that I must take in solemn consultation with God Almighty and p, eoples constituencies across our nation. The decision must ultimately be based on clarity of conviction and vision. It is in this regard that I want to thank the people of the North Central, South- South, North West, North East, South East and Southwest zones of the PDP for their encouragements, prayers and urgings. We have launched the Power Road Map and have also made some progress in the areas of Electoral Reforms with the appointment of Prof. Jega, signing of the Electoral Act and the prompt release of 87.7 billion naira to INEC and peace in the Niger Delta with the commencement in Obudu of the reorientation of repentant militants. I have also taken time to inform you of the progress made in tackling issues such as stimulating economic growth by providing generous credit facilities to the tune of 500 billion naira to the real sector, cleansing the financial sector with the signing into law of the AMCON Act to serve as a safety net against bad loans as well as the political support given to the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to take decisive action to protect investors in the capital market . In the anti corruption war, I am pleased to state with a clear conscience that this administration has not interfered with the EFCC and the ICPC and I have instructed the Attorney General to treat EVERY Nigerian equally under the law with no sacred cows. I also told you of the implementation of the one year Action Plan for the education sector to increase the capacity of the sector to attract funding and ensure that such funding is channelled into increasing the service delivery capacity of the sector. Indeed I took time to enlighten you of our plans to pay living wages to ALL workers under the employ of the Federal Government in addition to the 150 billion naira set aside for the bail out of the textile industry with 30 billion naira of that already disbursed. In addition to these, I gave you details of the progress we made in the aviation sector such that our efforts bore fruit with the Category 1 certification awarded Nigeria which means that Nigerian registered airlines and air crafts can now fly directly to ANY airport in the United States. In the down stream sector of the oil industry I took the time to enlighten you of plans now in advanced stages to build new refineries so we can refine locally and export to fuel thirsty neighbours. I also ordered the minister of Petroleum to clean up the sector so that exports can be maximized and further downstream to make fuel available in our filling stations. I am constantly pleased to read your comments on this page testifying to the ease with which you now buy petrol for your cars. These and many other programmes and plans I have shared with you to let you know that in as much as there is a frenzy of activities occasioned by the coming elections, I have not deviated from my primary responsibility which is to provide leadership for Nigeria that is geared towards maintaining law and order and ensuring the peace and economic progress of Nigeria and Nigerians. I thank everyone and group that has so far endorsed me and this administration and say to you that your endorsement strengthens and inspires me to keep on serving Nigeria to the best of my abilities so help me God. GEJ

The indicision continues, I thought he was fasting with his Muslim Brothers?

I find his thanking the people of NC,NW,NE, SS,SE,SW very interesting. It makes you wonder whether this Presidency sees Nigeria as a collection of 6 autonomous geopolitical zones.

On Anti-Corruption I also find it quite interesting that he is telling us that he has adopted a hand-off approach for EFCC and ICPC. I thought what we were asking for is political will to fight corruption genuinely. How does he explain his decision to withdraw charges against Ribadu on the account that the charges were made up and yet has gone on to give Farida Waziri an award for distinguishing herself in office.

I also find it quite interesting that Mr President thinks the appointment of Jega alone is an achievement even though we are yet to have any elections yet to assess Jega's abilities nor have we had a voter registration excersize already put in place. Appointing Jega alone does not count for anything, the quality of election we get is what matters. Another achievement celebrated by the Presidency is the ability of Arik Air flying directly to US, that does not sound like some great achievement to me.

On petrol queues, now that the President wants to take credit for reductions in fuel queues. I hope it will also be fair game to say he has failed if queues do return and we will not hear any noise about sabotage.

I particularly found the claims made by the president on his facebook page laughable.

I am so shocked that a president we love so much and we clamour to sweep the polls come january is only able to present to us the appointment of Jega and straight flights to US as enough achievements to get us to vote for him in January.

While I do not in anyway expect him to perform miracles considering the short time, these Jega and flight to US claims riles me completely. Please at the last count, how many Nigerians have the capacity to fly to US? Maybe we should start with how many Nigerians carry their own international passports.

And please dont give me the Jega thing. Jega is just an individual and not the free and fair elections we seek. How much about Iwu did we think in 2005.

I think Jonathan should stop this propaganda and hold onto the goodwill Yar'adua's death has accorded him.

How true is jonathan's wife money laundering charges? If it is true, does it mean we are knowingly supporting a thief who is in no way different from rogues like babngida and atiku to be the president just because he manage to keep the electricity on for a couple of days in a week.

Power is our birth right as long as we want to remain and be apart of the dynamic world that survives basically on generated energy aka POWER.

September 2006, EFCC seized $13.5 million dollars directly from her.
August same year they obtained a court order seizing N104 million she
allegedly tried to launder thru an associate- one Mrs Nancy Nwosu.
