prof Niyi Osundare said that before now in his book ''The Eyes Of Earth''
Antipob777:
The igbos populate almost every state in the North, they buy lands build houses, shops

The hate in the igbos is too much now, I hope they don't cry when the hausas retaliates.

This is unacceptable and I call our igbo leaders to intervene now before it is too late.

I wonder why this so much hate.

You igbos cannot allow Fulanis to settle among you peacefully, but the yoruba's allow you igbos to settle in Lagos and now you have mouth to talk rubbish and call Lagos no man's land. You even claim that you guys develop Lagos. Let the Fulanis help you develop your own state too and watch it become a "No man's land" too...simple.

Yorubas, you guys too dey accept nonsense that other tribes cannot accept, that is why they are calling your land "no man's land".

You must be sick in your cone head.

Igbos will never sell their lands to terrorists. If you care so much for the fulani herdsmen, you can take them to your village to buy all the land there.

this is not the real story!
I went to research and found out that the king hired some northerners to rear his cows for him,
He took a community farm land and turn it into a grazing area for his own cows,
So the people protested against him,
Anambra state government is looking into it now
thanks for that reliable report.

that's pure hatred from those men towards the fulanis...the king is the leader of that community and has the traditional right to sell the land he owns, except it belongs to individual.

the anger and outrage is because the land is sold to a Fulani man.....

Try to understand a peoples culture, before making a conclusion. In Igboland a community land belongs to the community and the chief have no right to sell community without the approval of the whole community. He is free to sell his own personal land and not the community land.

Use your brain! Igbos that buy land in Lagos develop them and build houses on them. Those are massive investments being buried on Lagos land. Have you heard of any Hausa, Fulani or Yoruba man build a house in the South East? On the other hand, these Fulani guys want land for cattle grazing. They will graze the land for years and will not improve its value.

Secondly and more importantly, those herdsmen are a security risk. The havoc they've been causing in the Middle Belt is glaring. You don't want to invite potential terrorists into your village. Have you heard of Igbo traders going about killing people in Lagos before?
Even your Yoruba communities won't agree to sell land to those terrorists, why are you expecting Igbos to do the same? Isn't that hypocrisy?

It's only a matter of time before they claim that they paid for the whole kingdom and start killing indigenous people with cooked up claims, frivolous court orders etc. They may even present fake C of O's recognised by the courts. It's a grand plan with faulty legal backing. They fight small battles like this to win the bigger war DAN FODIO style

Guess what, the cost is nothing to them they could wait for even a hundred years to get the caliphate. Still wondering why most of our kids don't get to learn Nigerian history at school anymore. Why they tried to eliminate CRK etc?

In Igbo land, he has no such right. It should be a collective decision and the proceeds are shared equally.
