Really? In that's the case he (President) would be better off chasing both the Auditor general and the Accountant General of the Federation. those are the actual tracks that need cover not necessarily the CBN governor.

His tenure is virtually over anyway and a successor should be around the corner.

It is hard in modern times for a CBN Governor to have 2 tenures of 5 years each.

Emefiele was appointed by President Jonathan, and despite pressures from politicians, PMB left him to do his tenure.

Some past presidents would have looked for a way to play dirty politics and to exit him before his term expires.

PMB could have sacked him especially for his leniency or supervising massive looting. But PMB told him, you witnessed how the economy was eaten by the enemies of this country, you will also witness it's recovery. So he left him there not that he liked him per se

Whether he stays or leaves, it has no effect on the Igbos and we should stop complaining. Even the guy is a rubber stamp CBN Governor.
Is he even bringing CBN money to the East? Has he made any policy that changes the economic status of Ndi Igbo in a positive way. I don't kw why we should cry much on this.

If his tenure is over, let him step aside. After all someone stepped aside b4 he took over the seat.
