A non-governmental organisation, the Democratic Alliance for Good Governance, on Monday warned Nigerians not to trust a former military president, Gen Babangida (retd.)



The Coordinator of the group, Mr. Dare Johnson in an interview correspondent, faulted a documentary on the administration of the former military dictator.



According to him, the documentary, titled, ”The untold truth” showed that Babangida was not sincere.



He said that in the documentary aired by a television station last week, IBB absolved himself of blames of the annulment of June 12 presidential election and setting up of the Interim National Government.



Johson stated that the former military dictator had lost the opportunity to get the forgiveness of Nigerians, when he failed to appear before the Oputa panel set up by former president Olusegun Obasanjo‘s administration.



The coordinator added that Babangida would not make a good military president.



”During Obasanjo‘s administration, the country kept changing senate presidents. This was because of his military background,” he added.



According to him, ”Babangida is pretentious and should not be trusted.”
