“oh gawd”! Tope snapped out of her dream or should I say, she bolted out of her dreams, considering she was out of breathe and sweating profusely.
Must have been quite a race, the finish line apparently is back-to-reality. Thing was she didn’t really remember the dream just the part where she kept on eating her excreta till she began to sweat in the dream. She didn’t remember and definitely didn’t want to.
Trouble was this was the third dream tonight and morning just didn’t seem closer. “damn it” she needed the morning. Take a bath, get dressed and go to work, not this cycle of sleeping and feeling like some odd kind of Joseph in the bible.
She needed the hustle and also the men the Lagos morning would throw her way. It even seemed awhile since she last saw her boyfriend Tomiwa. Such a love and very handsome, though she saw him last week and phoned him before she slept.
They had talked romantic and sexual, almost into phone intimacy. He was crazy. She had only met him two weeks earlier and seen him a few times, but on phone, he was one new constant in her life. She could say she was drunk in love only, that would be crazy. Maybe she was crazy in love. Maybe she should call him.
With that thought she plastered a wide imaginative smile on her face, trying to imagine how far the conversation could go. She picked up her phone and she had almost reached the contact she was looking for when she saw the time. “what”!
