Our client, a major player in the construction materials industry is urgently seeking suitable candidates to fill the role of a Sales Manager.

Job Summary

The Sales Manager will develop and maintain strong dealer relationships to meet and exceed sales objectives. Be accountable for increasing sales and market share, developing and upgrading the dealer network, and projecting a professional image.

Responsibilities
• Own and execute the local distribution strategy to drive sales growth by determining gaps in distribution coverage and opportunities to increase penetration in target markets.
• Achieve volume/revenue objectives by engaging and leveraging distributor resources to grow the sales pipeline and drive penetration into new accounts in assigned region.
• Effectively manage and communicate key monthly, quarterly and annual volume and revenue sales objectives. Identify and address performance challenges in order to deliver results.
• Develop and maintain appropriate product knowledge in order to handle project and specification work.
• Build and develop sales team into valuable sales personnel.
• Arrange and conduct product and sales training for distributor sales representatives and others involved in product sales. Ensuring distributors’ sales teams have knowledge, skills, and materials necessary for success.
• Assist corporate and division management in developing sales forecasts and budgets, territory potentials, sales analysis and other reports that may be requested.
• Proactively attend and participate in sales meeting, training programs both internal and external, regional marketing programs, regional/national trade shows for promotion and improvement of company products

Candidate Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of a B.Sc. / HND in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field of study. Master’s degree in a related field of study is desired, but not essential.
• 5 years of proven experience in proven Sales, with a minimum of 2 years in the Construction Materials/building industry.
• Industry related certifications and/or trainings would be a plus.
• Experience working with a multinational company is a bonus.
