Reports filtering in from Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital - have it that the residents have been gripped with fear and anxiety over the growing military presence in the region.

Masked gun-wielding soldiers (armed to the teeth), have been patrolling the metropolis for some days now in a show of force ahead of the governorship election on Saturday, March 9th.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers - has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to militarize the state in order to 'easily manipulate the outcome of the governorship election to their favour'.

The latest show of force which happened today - is coming days after soldiers were caught on camera while raiding some night clubs/joints in Port-Harcourt during their patrol.

It was the exact same scenario, situation, process and circumstances in 2015 when Wike was saint Michael and Patience Jonathan was Jesus of Otuoke. Even Amaechi, as governor, was almost shot by a soldier on live TV with Channels cameraman and journalists manhandled by Wike's men

It’s a combination of the animalistic tendencies of the people, their government and the security forces which sees this as the final result.
