THE Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, candidate in the just concluded March 9 governorship election, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been declared winner as he polled 449,935 votes against his main challenger of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ayogu Eze who polled a mere 10,423 votes.

The state collation officer of the election and the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku announced the result at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office, Independence Layout Enugu and declared  Ugwuanyi as the winner.
