I've learnt one thing on Twitter. in fact I call it the golden rule:

'whatever you tweet, let it not appear to bash Nigerians or Nigeria. they will come for your head'

ask Ghanaians, Kenyans and Taiwo (you smell nicely)
Nigerian twitter space is a very rough terrain, these guys drag the living day light outta the two sisters.

That's different.... Telling someone they smell nice is kind of flirtatious and thus unprofessional, especially if it's an interview setting. Maybe he meant it innocently sha but it is definitely no reason for the lady to overreact. Nigerian interviewers can sha like to feel like assistant gods.
The bitch said the interview had ended when he said that... Anything wrong with that?
Make she sef try not to be smelling nice ooo so she won't see remarks like that as rude
Re: Lady Shares Experience With Her Interviewer In The US by flourishing247: 8:56am On Mar 13, 2019
There really is no big deal in this at all. If after interview you tell me " you smell nice" I will say thank you. The only thing I will look our for is if there's a sexual glint in your eyes. If yes, you are not getting the job. If no ,the job is yours

This is not true bro, and you know it. Stop making hateful remarks like this and unfounded generalization as this is nauseating.

That girl no just get sense. She's prolly a new feminist recruit and believe me she would have smiled with a thank you if the job seeker was a lady but being a feminist, she feels good putting hurting a man's feelings.

The idiot has forgotten that she was a job seeker once and there's no job security in Nigeria so she can be a job seeker tomorrow.

Do I blame her? Yes, but she's not alone. Most interviewers in Nigeria feel like deputy Jesus.

Presentation of words matters a lot to ladies. A lady interviewed me and we ended up been best sexual friends. Right there, I told her that I'm in love with her fluency in English, she smiled and wrote her number out for me.

The truth is that people who love good things can't just keep calm without a compliment, wow you look Gorgeous, Pretty, Nice ride, Shoes, Bags, Lovely House, Lawn, Good Job and all of that are worth complimenting but some dumb and the dumber will take it the other way round, thunder fire u daar. I like good stuff and i will always compliment irrespective of the circumstances

And she is just a HR for that matter. There are chances that her salary is not more than 110k. Yet, she is feeling like a god.

That the Taiwo lady took unnecessary offense does not make her a feminist. Stop bashing Feminism. You don’t know what that word means at all. You like a lot of Nigerians have recently discovered a new word to blame your woes on. Without feminism, you’d be marrying a lady who can’t read, write or have conversations to help improve your life. My bad! Maybe that is exactly what you want. Let’s see... without feminism, you won’t know who called you before taking the call. Yes!!! The caller id was invented by a woman. The computer as you know it today was a woman’s doing. No, she did not invent it, but she made some inventions that simplified it and made it easier for everyone to use. I won’t go on ‘cos the list is endless. Feminism is what has enabled women get an education so as to be more useful to themselves and their communities. If you don’t understand a concept, then research it.

What is flirtatious about that? Well, I don't blame you. It's only in Nigeria that you would say hi or hello to a lady and she would automatically start feeling you want to ask her out, and start acting silly. I know how many times ladies have told me I smell nice; do I start interpreting it to mean they all like me and are flirting with me? You women got serious problems and issues.

Beautiful.... Couldn't have said it any better!! Eventhough I feel some interviewrs can be overly uptight, we need to take such on a case by case basis cos this same compliment in another setting in this same Nigeria won't mean anything!! Lol at your "assistant gods"

Ms. Taiwo don't understand English. She understood the smell to be smell smell without putting into consideration the word nice.

Some women are just too confused, you complement her, you have started catching feeling. You don't complement, you are rude.

We have a lot of educated illiterates in Nigeira, if someone complement the way you smell dosent mean the person is sexualizing you..a white man visited my office to see my boss, I don't know him from Adams but I complemented his tuxedo.. He smiled and asked me, you like. I said yes
Two months later he traveled back to canada and came back with four pairs of tuxedo and brought them to me personally, I lost words to appreciating him. He just smiled and left.
This is sane people, not hypocritical black backward mofos that claim they know Sh!t..

Unlike the hell attitudes we experience here in Nigeria. Sometimes we cant help but ask ourselves if we were created by the same GOD
This world can only be better if you and I becomes conscientious!

Go and find out what feminism is.

You're simply being a sexist. If a woman didn't invent something, a man will invent it. Ideas are like air, you're not the only one who has it at any point in time. If you don't use the idea, someone else you've never met from birth will use it very soon. Ideas are not exclusive.

Feminism is all about a woman's right but it has been maligned by angry women to mean anything that bruises a man's ego. Being a lady gives you a VERY unfair natural leverage. You have a society where you're naturally a pursuit. Men are in pursuit. You lose that leverage, you'll know how hard it's to be a man.

You can stand for your rights as a human being without losing your sweet nature angry

I have made it a pt of duty to appreciate ppl.Try it and You will see a huge smile on Their face and Their countenance.
Once i was at the bank, everywhere was tensed and suffocating.By the Time it was My turn,i didnt waste Time to compliment the female cashier who Obviously was fagged out and sullen About her beautiful eyes.I did this while looking at her eyes directly.
Suffice to say that immediately her countenance changed ,she'd quickly add that it was her selling pt and was so happy She said Thank You twice.

While i left the hall,i looked back and was elated that She was now more cheerful in the dispensation of her duties.
It doesnt take anything out of anyone,be it an interview Or informal setting Unless the receiver is a sadist Or whatever.

When u go for an interview say anything to get the pressure off u and make it as natural as possible. U may even end up talking about smtn unprofessional cos it’s still about knowing u as a person also. Depends on the type of interview.

Please continue to share those amazing experiences from other Continents so that it will help to reset our mufon-brains,since an interview in Nigeria is like a War Zone-do or die affairs. Besides, too many Oga in the boat but doing nothing during the interviews.
