You have just shown that you understand the process. I said somewhere that some of the EH invited for interview didn't necessarily have high CBT scores. They were invited because of their job experience and expertise. How can you disqualify someone who scored 50 in CBT but has 9 years of solid experience in the oil sector?

To collate the interview scores is necessary. But Al vacancies must be filled. If the person with the highest score for a position such as supervisor audit isn't among the top 10 in the 36 states... Are you going to keep the position vacant?


No! You will employ the person who had the highest score for that position. The person may not even be among the top 20 in his state but has the highest score for that position ..

Hope you guys get the drift... This will mostly apply for EH positions and some GT positions that are less competitive.

Some of you are really naive, do you have any idea the rate of unemployment in this country?, Do you know even some brains from IOCs applied for EH positions?. Well but I also understand everyone wants to bring things to his favor in order to feel calm, So I won't judge grin

Nobody said FCT is a state. The lady didn't include it in her calculation which rendered it incorrect. And she has reliazed and made necessary adjustment already.


Meanwhile, to those qouting their sauce that oil producing state will get more slots, you need to read the article. Rivers (an oil producing state) might not even get a slot.

Selection process possible determinants.

Basically, this will not be based on federal character alone but some other fundamentals could make the selection tense for some candidates while others may have it easy.

For the GT, generally GTs in most organizations are selected based on performance without considering the course of study, purely on order merit, I see NNPC not being an exception to this. With this, the selection will be stiff, depending on your state and the number left from your state allocation after deduction of the successful EH slots.

The EH will be selected first; this is an existing workspace that needs to be fixed, hence, the job placement, unlike GTs that will be cultured for task ahead, I mean, future needs. The EH selection process will be based on the best man for the job and not state as some states may not even have applicants for the role.

Lets simulate an instance here, the role of Company Secretary should go out for just one applicant out of many, it means such applicants will be competing with other smart applicants across the federation for this role and not his or her village people. This instance, takes us to complexity 2, this automatically reduced the number allocated to FCT and as such, affects the number of seats left for the GTs from FCT. In this scenario, Some EHs will be fortunate; applicants equal the number of spaces, like in a situation where someone happened to be the only man that applied for the role, it was just smooth cruise to the Tower. Whereas other will sweat to get a seat, maybe like the HSE applicants and others, they will need to battle for the limited seats on their roles as we have a good number of them, more that the available space.

To recap:
- The GT will compete with the village people, this will be easy ride for some
- The EH will compete with other candidates across the federation with same job title and skillset
- The more successful EHs in your state the more the tense selection process for the GTs becomes
- EH on popular role too stand chances of stiff selection while some may not have 2nd to compete with, these are called "Yours throughly".
- Federal Character may also step in, if 5 are needed and 6 applicants are available, the first 5 from a state and the 6th from another state. I guess you understand the 6th from other state would likely make the successful list.

Above all, for my case, its in God's hands.

Maybe they just need to add few names to the list....Am saying this because last year during the recruitment process in National space research and development agency(NASRDA), after we submitted application we heard nothing again . Only for me to hear that they are already training the new employees.

WHY DO ENGINEERING GRADUATES THINK THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHER DISCIPLINES. even for university, majority of them dey just rubbish other people's courses while forming Engineer. I don't know wether this is also one of the things they where thought during thier undergraduate dayz. dat them be superior, everything them most consume the highest slots. blah blag
