A fox which sneaked into a poultry hoping to have an easy meal has ended up dead following an unbelievable reaction from the birds. The fox did not know that over 3000 chickens were in the poultry and as it sneaked in, the automatic door jammed, trapping the fox inside. The next morning the fox was spotted dead in a corner of the poultry. The furious chickens had pecked the fox to death.
The bizarre incident took place in Pontivy, France, last Thursday. The fox is thought have sneaked into the coop behind some 3,000 chickens but then became trapped when the automatic door snapped shut, reports Daily Star.

The fox’s body was found the next morning in a corner of the coop. No chickens appear to have been killed in the incident.
Pascal Daniel, head of farming at the agricultural school Gros-Chêne, told French newspaper Ouest France that chickens can act together in large groups and that the fox could have been panicked by the sudden massive retaliation.
M.Daniel said that the chickens have been on that site since last July and so have learned to defend their territory.
