Babban Gona is seeking a passionate, inspiring, and results-oriented leader to assume the role of Head
of Financial Planning and Analysis.

We are looking for those that have a passion for agriculture and desire to impact lives. This individual will lead the FP&A Department and drive Babban Gona’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects.

The successful candidate will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including but not limited to preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis and other projects requested by senior management.

This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

Budgeting and Forecasting

Prepare the overall annual budget for the entire organization

Work with individual departments to prepare budgets and consolidate them into the overall
organizational budget

Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future
operations

Compare historical results against budgets and forecasts

Generating three- to five-year financial forecasts.

Analysis and Reporting

Perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make recommendations for
improvements going forward

Track company’s overall financial health, primarily by using key financial ratios

Evaluate whether the company’s current assets and investments are the best use of the
company’s excess working capital

Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of each department of the company

Prepare internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision making

Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue,
cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures

Support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis

Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team

Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis

Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports

Planning

Considering opportunities for the company to expand or grow. Mapping out growth plans,
including capital expenditures and investments.

Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting,

Operating Plan and Modeling tools

Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports

Perform financial analysis for all business units.

Provide analytics for each business unit and track the progress of each business unit.

Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field (Master’s degree in finance and/or
MBA preferred).
