An oil and gas company in Victoria Island is seeking to employ a employees with vast experience in the oil and gas sector. He/she must have the requisite skill and experience to flourish in this role.

Job Description:
• Managing suppliers and developing purchasing strategies which meet budgetary and other operational requirements of the company.
• Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
• Overseas the procurement department.
• Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
• Forecasting levels of demand for products and services to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels
• Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
• Report every supplier’s profile and have it approved.
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
• Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of products/ service provided
• Processing and following up on all purchase requisition forms while maintaining the departmental SOP
• Placing orders with assigned suppliers and ensuring prompt delivery of items
• Processing supplier/ vendor payments and invoices
• Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future buying activities
• Make presentations about market analysis and possible growth trends
• Develop the company's procurement/ buying strategy
• Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
• Ensuring suppliers are aware of company business objectives
• Take part in inventory process to reconcile stock and records.

Profile:
7-10 years experience in the industry
Understanding of Procurement Practices and Procedures
Background of contract management and evaluation
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
Ability to ensure engagement and compliance with required procedures
CIPS qualified or working toward will be an advantage.
Good level of education
Significant experience of working in procurement/logistics function within the oil and gas sector
Previous line management experience - leading and motivating others
Able to manage the organisational delivery of the procurement function
Strong negotiation skills including problem resolution and complex contract agreement
Aware of full end to end procurement process
