Oluwarotimi Akeredolu made the pledge, when he paid a thank-you-visit to the people of the area for their massive support for APC in the just concluded House of Assembly election.

“With this support, the people should expect more infrastructural development and other basic amenities in the coming years.

“We have come to thank you for your immense supports towards the party’s victory and your efforts which indicated that you are solidly in support of the little we have been able to fight for so far. You all did well”, he said.

Akeredolu who said the present administration has blazed the trail in the area of renovation and reconstruction of primary schools, assured that more would be touched for the comfort of the pupils.

He mentioned some of the primary schools renovated to include; Methodist Primary School in Ode-Ajagba, Jiwiri Community School, St Paul’s RCM, Salvation Army Primary School, C.A.C Primary School, Ajagba among numerous others.

“Apart from these, roads were also constructed, they include; the Sabomi-Ajagba road project, Ayeka-Araromi road project, the Secretariat road in Irele has also been constructed among others.

“We have just started, it’s just two years of our administration and we have done these much. We need your supports like you did during the last House of Assembly election.

“We enjoin you to cooperate with us, give us the desired support needed which would enable us to continue delivering dividends of good governance to you”, he said.

Earlier, State Chairman of APC, Mr. Ade Adetimehin commended the people of the town for their support and urged them to continue to stand by the party now and in the future.

“Your continued support for the present administration during elections would enable the Governor to continue delivering more people-oriented projects across the state”, he said.

Also speaking, Chairman of Irele Local government, Prince Gbadebo Odimayo, said the visit will promote fraternal links and valued-cooperation between the people and constituted authority.

He thanked the Governor for the completion of the road linking Irele Local government with Okitipupa and other neighbouring local governments which he said had stopped the sufferings of people travelling from Ilaje to Okitipupa.

“We equally commend you on your kind approval for the construction of 1km Secretariat/Sabomi road with Asphalt overlay. This is made possible in view of your genuine promise that major towns across the state will benefit from your good road network scheme.

“We appeal that you give further approval for the construction of the remaining part of the road to make life more meaningful for our people”, he said.

Odimayo who congratulated the Governor over his success at the just concluded House of Assembly election, said the success shows the acceptance of his administration by the people which is not unconnected with the Governor’s unprecedented administrative acumen that had resulted in laudable people-oriented projects across the state.

He assured the governor of the unshakable support of the people of Irele for the success of his administration, adding that his achievements so far had added more credibility to his chances of second term in office ambition.

The Chairman who expressed concern over the Obaship crisis in the town, pleaded with the governor to help facilitate the process of appointing a new traditional ruler for the town.

Also speaking, the Ahaba of Ajagba, Oba Thomas Adesayo appreciated the governor for the various projects carried out in the area, especially on road construction and rehabilitation of schools.

The Monarch also appreciated the Governor for resuscitating the Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OSUSTECH), which he said had developed from three faculties to seventeen following the intervention of the governor.
