Hi guys, is it a glitch from first bank nigeria because i got a mail for their 2019 graduate trainee program from the job portal page in my mail. on the 12th of this month. Yes it is 2019.

I knew the recruitment was already on since last year but I applied anyways.

Surprisingly, the opening didnt last more than 24hrs before it was removed on their job portal. The retail head and the other that has to do with the intelligence remained there.


Here is my question:

Could it be they wanted more guys for this year recruitment?
Or its just a computer glitch from their website?

It was not meant for the general public. The link was purposely activated during odd hours and deactivated immediately to allow an arrangement in TS to be carried out. I'm not at liberty to go into details. Just understand it doesn't threaten your current status of FBN asking you to wait (they haven't started a new GT recruitment).

I don't have the dates but you guys can keep your fingers crossed from anytime beyond September 20. Waiting is quite difficult but from my experience, FBN is high on integrity and people centricism (they know you guys are out there, they'd definitely get in touch).

You might get D&M mail this year but the possibility of resuming TS is quite slim.

Ah this is not the kind of news we should be hearing at this point in time...still hopeful we would be called for TS this year, hence their contact communication with us. If not they would have kept quiet till next year. May God help and favour us

Ignore this information. There's not even an iota of fact in this update. In the last recruitment, a batch went during November, so we are still going to training school this year.

Secondly, the reassurance mail would not have been sent if we have no hope of resuming training school this year.

Please, let's be sure of information we share. Misleading and misinforming people is an offence.

I think it will be good if they can let us know the proposed date for the next batch and also the number of batches. If possible, let everyone know the batch they have been scheduled for.

Alright, noted. We just are all anxious. Next year is very far to be honest. Seeing such information troubles the soul.

Is there anyone else that considers the possibility of us not getting called? When you consider the current batch know nothing about the next batch - I have a friend currently in TS and He says they have never mentioned a second batch to them.

Like they could decide to lock shop after this batch of training school. I know they sent the reassuring mails but my mind is prepared for the worse too. I am a realist and keeping this possibility in mind helps me sleep better even though Im still very hopeful and would like to join first bank.

Mehn... guys are serious here oo... Anyway, from what I've heard n followed over time, most time those in TS does even know update of the next TS unless it's being mentioned to them, and they will know IF AND ONLY IF date of the next TS has bn decided, then these guys may now know when they r almost done.

What I just feel is that, the date of the next TS has not been decided so rumor is allowed.

But we remain positive that TS still hold again this year. We can as well make a prayer for FBN for sufficient provision and resources...and the strength to continue.

My assumed least number of days btwn D&M and TS resumption is 2 weeks meaning D&M wil likely b btwn Sept 26 - Oct 3 which also means D&M mail shld com in btwn Sept 20 - Sept 25.

So lets chill till Sept ending b4 we strt getting ds worried. Calling the phone numbers to get som answers wil make sense by that time too

We all just have to chill, it was stated clearly that the on-boarding programme is still in progress. If it's not, we would have been told. And like we all know, Training School is most times in batches, even other top banks do theirs in batches.

So, I see no reason we should all be too worried. We should only hope we resume training school next month, or this year to say the least.

We all keep the wait one. That's the only logical thing to do for now.

Fast-forward to August 14, I go the chill pill mail too, so I called someone on the inside, not a trainee, he gave me an assuring word, "they'll surely get back to you".

Trust me guys, when I talk about certainty, this is one of them. I don't want to go into details for some reasons best known to me.

All I'll just say is chill guys, we going to TS this year.

WILL ALL THE TRAINEES BE CONVERTED TO FBN STAFF AFTER TRAINING? OR IS THERE GOING TO BE A TEST AND THE BEST WILL BE CHOSEN AFTER THE TRAINING? + AFTER THE EXAMS WILL THERE BE AN ACCOMPANYING CERTIFICATE TO SHOW THAT ONE PARTOOK IN THE TRAINING? please i need to know, all of these are the question i have been struggling to answer within me as regards FBN training school

Ok, first, after training, you get absorbed as an Executive Trainee, this goes on for 6months. After 6months, you then get permanently staffed, after which you'd then be entitled to the staff bonuses and all.

And you just have to score atleast 70, trust me, that's not an issue..

And BTW, I just spoke with the HR, no date fixed for the Training school yet, but he told me they're working tirelessly to ensure our batch get done with the trainings already, so that we would assume with them next year. He also collected my full name.

Well, I think I actually did emphasized it severally. Thank you @DonYza for some more concrete info.

Whenever the date for next TS is fixed,we will hear from them... irrespective of a current TS candidate u may know. And it is all because of these doubts and freezing waiting moment was why FBN sent 'Reassurance mail' and also they created 3 Training Centres for a single TS Batch.

I think so far, we should be calm and understand that FBN has by far been the best Bank TS in Nigeria. Effective structure with follow up.

Once again, I bliv they are working tirelessly to ensure we resume soon and progress in order. Let's just exercise patient a little more, we r closer to the destination compared to where we r coming from.

We pray that God strengthen them and more wisdom is made available for them to keep carrying out their work effectively!
