What Could Be Wrong With This Website? by Simpath(m): 1:35pm On Mar 21, 2019
I have this website, dailymailonline.com.ng, that attracts many visitors. SSL certificate was installed on it, but it appears not properly. When you visit the site it complains about Self-Signed Certificate. Of course, smart users may find their way through to the site. But very many users, give up before trying.

I'm getting lots of complains already. What could be the issue? How do I resolve this?

The site was developed with Wordpress. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you.

Your SSL certificate has expired.

Https will display not secure if the https rules are broken.

For https to work fully all links on your page or in your source code/theme must be https as well. Any http link on the page breaks the page security thus your browser will display the warning that the page isn't secured.

You need to change any link that has "http" to "https" to resolve the issue.

Thank you all for your responses. I doubt it. It is supposed to expire March next year.

Sincerely I do not know the SSL Certificate Vendor. The idea is this is my first time I'm applying the SSL Certificate. As a matter of fact, I was not the one who installed the certificate. Another webmaster did. Something went wrong between the project owner and the webmaster, and things were delegated onto me.

The guy only left the cpdetails. He has refused to talk to anyone. Shey una understand dat kin tin na... cry

If you are sure the problem is not with the certificate itself the install really simple SSL plugin if your CMS is wordpress and run it

Login To Your Cpanel, Install And Activate The SSL Certificate, When You Are Done, Force Redirect To https, You Can Also Force The Header Redirect Via .htaccess, You should Be Able To Do This Within Few Minutes......

https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/

Install the plug-in from the admin and that should do the job.

Then get another SSL certificate. The one is not passing the browser authentication test.
