Let me start by asking you this question: do you despise it when others tell you what they think you should do?

Oh come of it, I have been doing it for years, you cannot just change what I'm used to like a mom changes her baby's diapers! Do you know how old I am, you think you can just breeze in and hold the remote control over my life? This is the silent expression in the hearts of many people, women especially who are self-willed.

But here's what the Bible says, "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise" Prov. 12:1. Be teachable!

To be a wise woman, a woman that will enjoy her matrimonial home and will be seen as a godly one, you have to be teachable.

The moment you find it difficult to be corrected, then you sure have work to do!

A teachable woman is non-defensive. When they are wrong they quickly admit their wrongdoing and seek to learn how to be better next time rather than looking for ways to justify the act.

This is why this topic has humility as the second part because it is actually pride that makes one unteachable! You see more of yourself and less of others, you are an island of knowledge that cannot learn from others.

A wise and smart woman is teachable. One of the most beautiful adornments of a Christian woman is the grace of humility. Even God detest pride, truth is pride must die in you or nothing of heaven will live in you.

A humble woman uses common courtesy. She doesn’t interrupt others because she doesn’t assume that what she has to say is so important that it must be said right now.

It takes humility to be teachable even if you know it all. A wise woman can learn wisdom from the foolishness of a fool only if she's humble enough to learn.

Dear woman, are you teachable? I know you speak fluently, you dress gorgeously, you're smart and independent coupled with your industrious abilities. Not to forget is your spiritual values and principles that makes you the envy of other women.

But as good as these accolades are, if you're not teachable, you will soon be an Ichabod.

Do away with pride and put on the New Man who was created after God in righteousness and true holiness.

Learn submission by submitting first to the will of God for your life so that it becomes easy for you to submit to learning. Anyone who grows beyond learning will grow stale.

One of the inner beauty of a woman is her teachableness. If there's anything in you that scorns being teachable, it would enlist you in the path of destruction.

Be humble, no matter who you are and what God has made you to be so that you can be teachable and would remain relevant.
