A boy in Imo State took his bath in a gutter with water inside it to celebrate the defeat of Rochas Okorocha and his team in the just concluded Governorship election. The incident happened in Owerri, the state capital.

The boy says Imo is free. He says Imo Sate has been in the gutter but they are now free as he is seen in a video jumping out of the gutter as a ceremonial freedom move for Imo people.

The viral video shows the boy saying “Imo is free” three times before jumping out ofthe gutter.

The boy promised to drink the gutter water during Ihedioha’s inauguration but insisted he would mix it with small stout which those watching him should buy for him. He is now popularly known as ‘Imo Is Free Boy’.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Emeka Ihedioha defeated the Action Alliance (AA) candidate, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu who is Incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law and preferred candidate.Celebrations are still going on in the state after that election.
