A man who allegedly attempted to rape a 7-year-old girl in his kitchen, has been apprehended  by the Niger State Police Command.The 29-year-old suspect identified as Garba Yakubu, reportedly lured to the girl into his apartment on March 16, 2019, opposite the Central Mosque, Kuta Road Minna.

It was gathered that after the victim came into the kitchen, he tore her pants and pulled out his manhood in order to have sex with her but stopped when he heard the footsteps of the girl’s uncle, Abbas.After he noticed the girl's uncle was coming to the kitchen, he quickly pulled up his trousers and pretended that he was looking for something. However the girl narrated what happened, after her uncle met her lying naked on the floor. The man who allegedly attempted to rape a 7-year-old girl in his kitchen, was thereafter arrested by a team of policemen attached to the ‘A’ Division following a tip-off after one Mairo Ma’agi of the same address reported to the state Police Command.
