On the radio just now, LBC, a man who often phones in and is Ugandan, claimed that he is Nigerian and that we Nigerian are rapists and yes cherry Blair was right to claim majority of African women first sexual encounter is through under age rape. This disgusting habit Africans have of claiming they are Nigerian just to express something negertive must stop. Another woman that phoned, claiming that she was raped as a young girl, thankfully owned up to being from Ghana. Hallelujah. In any case, concerning this Cherry Blair rape aspersions on Africans is all misnomer, deliberate misappropriations, dissembling and cowardliness that leaves no options but to resort to calling it all racist. This is because the intent is to draw reference to the tolerance in Islam for "under age marriage". Apart from this, many cultures around the world from South America, Asia and Africa do still consider young girl that have had periods old enough to marry. This is why it is racism to pick on Africa. In America and UK age of concernt is approximately 18 in Spain it is or was 14 year old. In America or UK if you sleep with a girl 16 year old you would be comiting Statutory Rape. To then say that Spanish people are all Rapist is a form of Cultural imperialism. Now, the challenge for the West is how to challenge these cultural traditions without indulging in what I would term Cultural colonialism. From our point of view, West should not and Africans must not indulge them in forwarding the notion that Western cultural norms are godgiven. |
