Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has taunted that his current club is 'bigger than Arsenal'.

The 26-year-old hitman spent three seasons at the Emirates before departing for Eastlands in 2009 and believes The Citizens will be on top of Arsenal by the end of this season.

The Togo international has dropped down the pecking order at Eastlands and was reportedly seeking an exit from the club, with manager Roberto Mancini preferring Carlos Tevez in a lone strikers role.

However, Adebayor was selected in Roberto Mancini's 25-man Premier League squad and has boasted that with the calibre of players on show at Eastlands, Manchester City are a bigger club than Arsenal with the striker admitting: "Yeah, it does feel like that."

"With the great new players we've got we have a wonderful chance to make history," Adebayor was quoted as saying on Sky Sports.

"But it's all about results. If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal," he concluded.

This guy is obviously a big fool! Ever since he left Arsenal he has to forget about the club. He was not needed that was why he was off-loaded. This Same idiot wore an Arsenal jersey soon after armed men attacked the Togolese national team at Cabinda, Angola just during the last African Nations Cup in Angola. The truth is he knows he left one of the greatest clubs in the world!
Ask all other world class players that played for Arsenal Viera, Henry, Pires, Hleb, Flamini, Wiltord, Cygan, Kolo Toure etc…all these players went into oblivion after leaving Arsenal! Sounds almost like a cause isn’t? Viera was even outclassed by his protégé (Fabregas) in a UEFA Champions League match between Arsenal and Juventus in 2006 after leaving in the summer of 2005. Adebayor made the greatest mistake of his life. That is why I pity Fabregas, if he makes that move to Barcelona he should as well kiss first team football goodbye. He has been warned by Pires, Hleb etc.
Emmanuel Seyi Afoolbayor should just shut up and fight for his place as advised by Kolo Toure a former Gunner. Just gathering stars does not make a team great. Manchester City should ask the Galacticos (Real Madrid). It takes tradition, culture and philosophy to make a world class team. Arsenal has won far more league titles, FA Cup, Carling Cup, UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. What has Man. City won? Even if the Citizens in the league this term, it still does not mean the club is greater that Arsenal. Like they say Form is Temporary and Class is Permanent!
