Ihedioha Gives Reasons Why He Will Step On Toes by nwokeji29: 9:12pm On Mar 26, 2019 |
Imo State Governor elect, Emeka Ihedioha has revealed why he will step on toes when he takes over the reins of government in the State on May 29, 2019 He said his commitment to rebuild the State is one of the chief reasons why he must clean up the system for the State to rebounce on the path of economic prosperity for the people. Speaking at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Mbutu, Aboh Mbaise to celebrate his 54th birthday he said “I am very committed to liberating our state. I will strive to correct the ills in our state and make things work for the better. And in the course of it, I will step on some toes. I want to appeal to those that may be hurt, not to take it to heart but rather bear with us and accept it as a sacrifice in the rebuilding process. Our primary purpose is to get our state working again and I want to assure you that our government will give every Imolite, reasons to smile again.” The plight of teachers will be of concern for the incoming Governor as he promised to set up a Bureau to look into issues of unduly sacked teachers who still have a lot to offer the State. He frowned at the level of mismanagement of the finances of the State, vowing to set up a Transition Committee to evaluate the status quo and articulate the takeoff programmes of his government when he is sworn in https://innonews.com.ng/2019/03/ihedioha-gives-reasons-why-he-will-step-on-toes/ 2 Likes 1 Share

I wasn’t really impressed by this guy’s resume and campaign. It’s a shame that better candidates decided to sit this one out. Ihedioha was actually the best of the worst. However, all this talk about setting up all sorts of committees is very ominous. The only reason politicians constitute committees is because they are bereft of ideas but want some movement even if it will not ultimately resiult in any motion. I hope to be proven wrong but I am not very hopeful right now. 1 Like |

ChristianNorth: I wasn’t “fuming”. This is my state and I have a right to be very concerned. I hope for the best but I cannot ignore early warning signs like these. The plight of teachers will be of concern for the incoming Governor as he promised to set up a Bureau to look into issues of unduly sacked teachers who still have a lot to offer the State. You don’t need a “bureau” to look at the issues of unduly sacked workers. If they were unduly sacked as he said, then you reinstate them. Moreover, you already have an entire Ministry of Education to handle issues like this. Just get them to earn their pay. He frowned at the level of mismanagement of the finances of the State, vowing to set up a Transition Committee to evaluate the status quo and articulate the takeoff programmes of his government when he is swornin You ran an entire campaign and you don’t know what your takeoff programmes should be? For real! And you need a transition committee to determine this? That’s not the role of normal transition committee. They ideally serve to transition from one administration to another for continuity purposes. All the same, I am still hoping for the best even though a logical foundation for optimism isn’t available for now. 2 Likes |

Curlieweed:You need help that is all I will say. You can check the role of bureaus in civil service. So he should just re-instate on mere assumption that they were illegal removed without recourse to a bureau to authenticate those claims. Go and check the role of Trump's transition team. Are you aware it was the transition team that even interviewed and nominated all secretaries and over 5000 appointed govt officers. They gave Trump three options to choose one from. Yes, transition formulates the take-off programme. You already know what you want to do but you don't have inside intel on governmental operations, finances and priorities. Through tranisition, you are allowed for the first time access all governmental files from the info, you can re-set your priorities and formulate your takeoff programme. Buhari promised to pay 5k each month but during transition, he found out that Nigeria doesn't have that kind of money, he re-adjusted his priorities. Buhari will inaugurate another transition team even though he is not handing over to any? Why? 4 Likes |

Curlieweed:it's either u don't understand what governance is all about or ur smart by half. Ihedioha talked about transition committee and setting up a bureau to look into the problem of teachers but u claimed that pple form committee when they are bereft of idea. let me remind u that governance is not a one man show. ur kind is like okorocha that claimed to know everything and as such need no advice but at d end his ignorance was exposed. on d issue of not trusting politicians, I don't trust them too but for now u have no reason to condemn ihedioha except ur one of those supporters of uche nwosu or hope uzodinma. if u truly love d state, all u owe it is prayer for success and work hard to contribute ur quoter to her development. 3 Likes |

Ask ur mum questions about ur existence I know what I'm saying, because naturally my people are not like this..SMH |
