Blue paper everywhere.... Especially the lady at window 6. She no get joy at all

My interview

Vo: Good morning
Me: Good morning
Vo: Passport please
Me: passed it to her
Vo: have you traveled before
Me: No, but this will be a privilege to do so
Vo: do you have a relative in the USA
Me:Yes
Vo:brother or sister
Vo:sister
Vo:how long are you staying
Me: stammered then told her
Vo:what do you do
Me:explained to her in details
Next na blue paper.

Ur critics are highly welcomed

If this transcript is the sum total of your interview, then I don't think you wanted to get the visa approved.
It is too incomplete and not helpful to even this thread.

Quick one please.
How does someone cancel an appointment with US embassy in Lagos and book a new one in the UK.
Like he already booked an appointment with US Embassy in Lagos before, but he's not in Lagos and he wouldn't be available on the appointment date since he is now in UK. now he wants to cancel and Book another one in the UK

How can he go about that please

You’re applying from a foreign country where you likely hold a non-immigrant visa. It will be more difficult to surmount the requirement for home ties - but not impossible. What does your hubby do while you go to school?
I appreciate your input.
Hubby does a part-time job and helps with our son while I'm at the uni.
Is a PhD program not a good enough reason to show we will return to the UK considering the huge amount paid as fees

From the above pic, she wasn't asked to attend an interview. They just need more time to process her application and she would be contacted for further instructions. That is to the best of my knowledge though.

Short story - He cant. Appointments and visa payments are not transferable across countries.

He cant book an appointment in the Uk either unless he is on a long term visa (note that 6 months/1YEAR/2YEARS/5YEARS/10YEARS) visit visa are not long term visas.
But if he's in the Uk via work visa, dependent visa, student visa then He will go through the US consulate in UK's process for booking an appointment.

Good day Sirs and Mas,

I am so happy to have stumbled on this thread. Though I was not able to go through from part 1 completely till part 4.
I have a very simple question and I'll like for our experienced brothers and sisters to assist me with answers.....especially madam LadyGuinivere.

I have a blood brother in the states. We are too close. He calls me like almost every day. He has 10 years permanent residence, which was given to him about 2 years ago. It's been over 10 years he left. Now he wants to invite me to the USA.
I read about D-160, B2 and all.

*What are the documents he would need to send to me aside from the invitation letter?*

*Any other info?*

Please kindly help me. God bless you all

Just so you know it's not just Nigeria

Same stories as we have here on NL in India

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/pune/long-wait-for-visas-throws-spanner-in-the-works-for-many-from-pune/articleshow/69380279.cms

PS See how the newspaper presents the information in an easily digestible manner full of meaningful content, instead of the "wall o' text" Nigerian journalists prefer?
We can only dream....

He won't be able to transfer his visa fees to UK because he made payment in Nigeria not UK and the payment is non-transferable.

I really wish people will just come here and at least first agree they haven’t read more than a page or two instead of pretending that they have read much. Their questions keep betraying them, and someone like me will also join them and pretend like I didn’t see their post too. The most that will happen is you will be referred back to the first page or to some previous thread maybe.

When I joined nairaland and the US Visit Visa thread, I took particular interest in even previous posts by Tzetzefly especially, VisaOfficer, AbujaNIV, LagosNIV, then Fastlink, Gbenge77, LadyG, Thegreengooner, Optimusprime2 and sndrmrtns (these were people whose takes were loaded and captivating at the time and till now) amongst others in spite of limited time, I’m better for it. My first and second question on here had some good space between because I was catching up after work, every night as I lay there on my bed till sleep comes. Was showing stuff to my wife alongside as I saw something new and important to us.

There are some people either sharing or liking posts from even as early as 2016, I wish I knew them sef, I won’t hesitate to answer all of their questions to the best of my ability as time and opportunity avails, they are serious, clearly!

Pls I am new to this thread. Can someone help me analyze this and advice me accordingly. I did Dropbox (this is my 3rd visa renewal) but I was called in for interview. My interview is in 12days. I have never faulted the visa. I spent almost 2months the last time I travelled.
My last renewal was 2017 but I couldn't travel because I had a major surgery then I travelled in 2018 to recuperate and stay with my sister that s why I spent that long. I work with a govt parastatal and didn't use my leave in 2017 so I used all of them in 2018 (I have a special rapport with my boss and my job is very flexible).
Prior to this time, I never mentioned I had a sister in the USA because we haven't been on talking terms & didn't even know her address (long story). But after the surgery we reconciled. Hence my visit in 2018. Now while filling the last form, my assistant helped me fill it I just gave her my booked hotel address because I would be going to Florida this time on a girl s trip (friends coming in from other countries we would meet up in USA). My husband has a valid visa but isn't coming with me this time. I totally forgot to update her on my sibling & contact in USA. She had already submitted at Dhl. So I let it slide. Now I am called in for interview, do I refill the form or just inform them at the embassy I have a sibling there? What if I am asked why I didn't fill it initially? Or I shouldn't just say anything if I am not asked? By the way, my sister is a USA citizen. Her husband filled for her while she was in Nigeria then she joined him there. So she's legit. Thanks as I await response. God bless...

It is not clear to me why Nigerians give themselves such headaches by refusing to be honest at the first time of asking... the question on the visa form asks if you have any immediate family members in the US. It is a Yes/No question... so claiming that you forgot to add your sibling means you answered "no", which is clearly a misrepresentation. You are asked to state if you have family in the US, not family that you are on speaking terms with. You've just given yourself unecessary problems.
