Asu Ekiye, a Nigerian gospel singer and the President of Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers of Nigeria (FOGMMON) who reacted to report of Waje quitting music, has told the singer to come back to gospel music which was where she started from. 

Asu Ekiye who advised Waje to come back to gospel music, told the female singer that her primary constituency is the church and there is also a big space for her in the kingdom. He wrote in full;

Finally someone speaks the truth. Most people don't know Waje started from church. She was a powerful worshiper like Sinach. She just missed her way and she knows deep down it's the truth. Gospel singers were seen as broke people but look at them today. It is well with her

Many secular artistes today started from d church choir and somehow missed their track mostly for fame and money. The likes of Whitney Houston comes to mind, she made a marvelous gospel album (Preacher's wife) but see how she died. Waje pls come back o, grace is still much available.
