UK Home Secretary (Sajid Javid) has suggested that the UK is open to sending prisoners, especially those with African heritage, to Nigeria to serve sentences longer than 6 months to deal with overcrowding in HM prisons. Current cost per prisoner in the UK is 24,000 per year while the FG has suggested they could reduce that cost to 10 million naira per year www.daily mail/Javid/Africancriminals |
