Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi Appoints Five More Special Advisers

In a bid to further position the administration for effective service delivery, the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of five additional advisers to his cabinet.

This was made known in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode on Wednesday.

According to the statement, all appointments are with immediate effect.

NYSC Threatens to Withdraw Corps Members from Bayelsa

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has threatened to withdraw corps members from Bayelsa state if their security is not guaranteed.

NYSC Director-General Suleiman Kazaure, issued this threat on Tuesday, April 2 when he visited the 2019 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Camp Kaiama in Kolokuma/Popkuma local government area of the state.

During his visit, the NYSC DG also visited Governor Seriake Dickson at the Government House in Yenagoa.

Four Killed in Fresh Taraba Communal Clash

Four people were feared killed, others injured and many houses burnt in a fresh crisis between Jukun/Tiv ethnic groups in Taraba State.

It was gathered that the clash occurred at Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State on Monday, April 1, 2019.

Speaking with Journalists, an eyewitness identified as Jerry Luka, said the crisis started at Kente village Monday evening when youths from both ethnic groups had a misunderstanding.

ICPC Shut Down Fake Medical, Nursing College in Nsukka, Enugu State

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has shut down a fake medical and nursing college in Enugu State.

The college is named the International College of Professions and is located in Nsukka.

This was disclosed by ICPC spokesperson, Rasheedat Okoduwa in Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

Police Arrest Teacher Over Death of SS3 Pupil in Akure

The physics teacher of Ijo Mimo High School, Akure, the Ondo State capital, Mrs Kura, who allegedly sent the head boy of the school, Temidayo Oluwole, to pluck mangoes has been arrested.

This is coming few hours after the death of the school head boy who died after he fell from the mango tree.

This was made known by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joseph during an interview with Journalists on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
