Fidel Castro tells an American journalist that the Cuban economic model isn’t working.
The former Cuban president made the jaw-dropping comment to Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic.
Goldberg says the ailing Cuban leader’s remarks came almost as an aside over lunch recently in Havana.
“The Cuban model doesn’t even work for us anymore,” Castro told Goldberg.

Before nko? So what is Cuba ? a mixed-market economy? Is Cuba not a communist state? Cuba is a communist haven and its communist model is not working anymore and you know it babes.

Cuba that employs 98% of his its citizems in a state controlled bureacuracy and rations food and ciggareets for its senior citizens. . .So why do you think that won't lead to a failure of "communist economics"?

Now that Fidel has had his utopian dreams fulfilled for the last 60 years, he is now whining? Seems padre has seen the light! Just as Gorbachev did!!!

Oga, there is no "duh" here at all at all. The dude simply said "the Cuban model doesn't work for us anymore" . . .  after adding plenty of flour, sugar, spice, nutmeg and yeast, then thoroughly baked at 350 degrees for an hour, then it can be stretched and interpreted as "Castro admits communist economics a failure. It is sensationalist journalism jare.
