Aliko Dangote, Nigerian business magnate, investor, and owner of the Dangote Group, has shown his humorous side in an interview yesterday in a Mo Ibrahim Foundation interview session.

Dangote, whose company, Dangote Group, has interests in commodities in Nigeria and other African countries, as of March 2019, had an estimated net worth of US$10.6 billion, making him the richest man on earth of African or black decent and the 100th richest man in the world as ranked by Forbes Magazine.

In the interview, Dangote talked about how he knew he had money. According to the billionaire, he drove to the bank himself some years ago, withdrew $10m and put in his car booth. When he got home, he put the money in his room and after admiring it and realizing he had money, he returned the money to the bank the next day.

When asked how much he had on him at the interview, the billionaire revealed he had not even a dollar in his pocket. According to him, when you have money, you don't carry money about.
