Nigeria's national Under-17 team have moved to Kaduna as they rev up preparations for this weekend's tie against Congo. The match is the second leg of the qualifier for the African Under-17 Championship in Rwanda, and the Golden Eaglets must overturn a 0-2 first leg deficit. Monday Odigie's wards have been camped at the FIFA Goal Project Centre in Abuja since June. Their opponents are expected to arrive on Friday, with the game scheduled for Sunday September 12. kickoffnigeria.com |

1 : 1 so far, i don't think the golden eaglet stand any chance of qualifying, they are surely out because they need to score 3 more goals which is no longer possible |

Saw the last 15 minutes of the match. Pity they couldn't qualify cos this is the youngest looking Nigerian U-17 side I've seen in a long while. |

semid4lyfe: Really. I hope this loss doesn't make them go back to calling fathers and grand fathers to u-17 squad. |

I heard that none of the boys that played from us came from the list of the secondary schools boys Monday Odigie earlier picked, he must have used the earlier selection as a disguise just to fool some Nigerians into believing he was different. Well we got paid with our coins, lol, Congo used U-35 to beat us hehehehe |

honeric01:Don't know about secondary school kids or anything like that but the boys I saw on TV today were definitely younger than boys of our previous U-17 teams. Na today yansh dey back? We dey do am to oyinbo but today Congo do am to us and we dey complain. CAF should also employ the FIFA bone testing stuff so that African teams can attempt to field real U-17's or players who aren't too overage. |
