A mother and her baby narrowly escaped death after a container crash landed and badly damaged the car they were traveling in.
According to reports, the yet-to-be-identified lady had just stepped out of the ill-fated vehicle together with her baby when the trailer came tumbling down and smashed the small vehicle.
Confirming the bizarre accident which happened at Syokimau area on Mombasa road in Kenya, Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko said the mother and her baby had just exited the vehicle to buy a soda at a nearby shop when the trailer smashed their car.
“Wacheni Mungu aitwe Mungu (Let God’s name be praised). A lady driver and her baby escape death by a whisker after a trailer crash landed on their car at Syokimau along Mombasa road just moments after getting out of the car to buy a soda,” the governor shared on Saturday, April 6.
