MKO how come this guy is so celebrated despite the source of his wealth questionable
Abiola's source was never questionable. He was a business tycoon with chains of businesses.

He set up Abiola Farms, Abiola Bookshops, Radio Communications Nigeria, Wonder Bakeries, Concord Press, Concord Airlines, Summit Oil International Ltd, Africa Ocean Lines, Habib Bank, Decca W.A. Ltd, and Abiola football club.

He was also Chairman of the G15 business council, President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Patron of the Kwame Nkrumah Foundation, Patron of the WEB Du Bois foundation, trustee of the Martin Luther King Foundation, and director of the International Press Institute.

In 83, he teamed up with Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, Bamanga Tukur and Raymond Dokpesi to establish Africa Ocean Lines.

Not forgetting ITT... He was the model politician for me.

On Chief MKO's left is his late wife Kudirat.

Nobody is pure...I wont attack you because I'm not pure myself. He was awarded a telecoms contract under ITT, yes and he delivered. That gave birth to the nitel we had in those days nationwide. The PHCN's Disco bought by Tinubu, abdulsalaam Abubakar, madam peace and co, how market? Shey iwo ri ina ninu ile re lati bi ose kan? Abiola never bought any government asset. He never ushered into his house any bullion van to harass people on election day with it through thugs. He was never a selfish man. He grew his business, invested and employed thousands of Nigerians in his business. In his dying days, he asked God for forgiveness for all his misdeeds, including the bibles you said he threw into the ocean. He was caught reading one shortly before he died. People like you who judge would be amazed when you see the position of those you judged while on earth in heaven in the end. Only God can say and know who is truly His, not man.
All sane Nigerian knows you've said it all

Don't mind the guy jare. Yes, Abiola did some bad stuffs but he was the greatest philanthropist of his generation. In fact, no Nigerian rich man was as generous as MKO even till today.

Chief M.K.O Abiola was the first Nigerian politician I personally admired and followed closely. I can never forget the day I saw him on the campaign ground. Nigeria would have moved forward faster with him as President. May God bless his soul

All these pictures suggest to me that everything that has the beginning must have an end . In whatever position we find ourselves, we should always do good because whatever we do today will either make or mar our name tomorrow. Moshood kasimaawoo, olawale abiola, the only child of his mother, rest on!
1) He was the only detribalised yorubaman I've known in history. Abiola was another victim of northern alliance with yoruba, after Awolowo. Through this man, many igbos, yoruba and hausa became somebody and led them to a point where their generations would never be poor again.
2) In his lifetime, he doesn't want to know whether you're a hausa, yoruba or igboman, Christian or Muslim. He treated everybody equally.

3) Amazingly, Tinubu grew under this man...he even calls him his mentor , they had taken several pictures together in his lifetime but yet, he never takes after him.

4)He's only known for selfishness and thuggery promoter, intimidating people with his bullion van-laden money. All these weren't abiola's style.

5) He loved both the rich and the poor, carried all yoruba elders along, no wonder he was crowned aare onakakanfo gbogbo yoruba in his time. How time flies...

2) Correct

3) Tinubu did NOT grow under him. Beside the fact that Asiwaju was a senator under the same party. Tinubu just like many Democrats across Nigeria joined in the actualisation of June 12. Tinubu, dele momodu, soyinka has to run away to abroad. A young Kayode Fayemi was the brain behind Radio kudirat then.

4) Only foolish people will be intimidated by a van. Tinubu has been in politics for a very long time. Is it now the time to use Van to intimidate people?
5) He was never in good book of Ooni Sijuade neither was he respected by Awoist. Baba Ajasin, Bola Ige only came to help when he was being tamed.

Have you find out why he started concord newspaper?

MKO is the personification of a drive for success by hook or crook. Conman per excellence. Excelled at it and could dine with the Devil at the right price.

But he had a conscience. He was a good man. He was betrayed by his own people. OBJ is who he is today, because of this great conman who died for an ambition. We must all learn that our own people can sacrifice us at the right price.

What money can not buy, more money can buy it. MKO was sold for coins, many are billionaires today, on account of his martyrdom.

There will never be another MKO. Atiku has no liver, he was clearly rigged out. No Nigerian Votes counted. You all wasted your fuccking time voting, it didn't count. The ballot boxes were emptied on those 'delay days' and APC filled the boxes with fresh thumbprint papers and robbed Atiku of his right. Yet he refuses to fight brutally and die for his right, like this great Conman called MKO. Which judge will refuse a bribe of $5B which Buhari and his team are ready to spend? Atiku and all Nigerians must know that betrayal is everywhere, even within your families.

May MKO reincarnate, in order to con Nigeria again and die again, to teach mere mortals lessons on how to fight for their rights.

He died for nothing, cos Nigerians have failed to recognize this great man grin

A failed Nation, will soon realize that fossil fuel will be banned as Global warming is threatening human existence on the planet.

Na that time una eye go clear. Keep supporting the people in power, instead of going to Abuja to chase the bandits out.

What is great about MKO?

That he used ITT is siphon billions or that he scammed IBB and Samuel Doe or because he sponsored the coup against Shagari and also sponsored the one against Buhari or that he used concord newspaper to vilify and rubbish awolowo political career?

Those who knew him very well knew why they vowed never to let him smell Aso Rock.

All the same he was a good politician but no ion of greatness.

Don't cry for MKO, even in death, he was conferred a GCFRN, the highest title of the land. Every June 12, beginning from this year, you shall observe a new democracy day in his honour across the federation including every living souls in iboeland. But can such be said of Aguiyi Ironsi?.. Absolutely Not. He died and was forgotten like a salah ram. So, I advice you keep your tears for those who need it in your potor land.
