Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the lawmaker representing Bayelsa East, has said that there is a problem with the amount allocated to the education of Nigerian youths and children.

Ben Murray-Bruce On Wednesday in a series of tweets not unconnected to the issue of poor education funding in the country, noted the defence and security budget of Nigeria is 3 times the education & youth development budget.

We budget ₦462 billion for education and ₦1.3 trillion for security. We have 65 million youths and children and we are spending ₦462 billion to educate them. We have less than 100,000 terrorists and we are spending over ₦500 billion to fight them. Do you now see the problem?

cool

If buhari doesn't acquire Secuirity equipment and dasukilize the money, this man would complain bitterly. Now he did yet he is still complaining,.

This man should check Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Africa's defense budget to see how unserious we are and how underfunded the Secuirity are, with the fact that the budget covers salary and over head cost of all Secuirity agencies in Nigeria.

He still complains, perhaps if Secuirity details assigned to useless twitter politicians like him and their family wasn't too much and they use private Secuirity or vigilante groups we would be saving billions annually on salary and allowance of their police guards

PDP should understand Opposition politics doesn't mean opposing all developmental progress of Nigeria by complaining bitterly, it simply means giving alternative opinion.

I think this is the only rational explanation to terrorism

Very true...

If we spend less on education, especially educating Northern youths then Bokoharam will never die...

America and China and Singapore spends tremendously on Education... See where they are

As long as the north is in charge of this country and feel entitled to oil proceeds, they were always going to retaliate after the ND amnesty.
They see something they are better chanced and equipped to use ( violence ) being used to bring money into a subdued ND, and as expected the northern big wigs decided to start a counter violence up north. The difference is that ND amnesty was given to the people fighting while northern amnesty was never official and went to the big wigs.
Of the $2bn shared under PDP, Buhari hasn't been able to show us where the bulk of the money went to today. He is just chasing few men who got less than 4% of the whole money.

You cannot educate the dead; I actually thought this was supposed to he common sense. There's a reason the primary responsibility of government is to secure lives and properties.
