Let's all be guided in the way we approach our prospective employers. Imagine the cancel the whole recruitment process , we will all have to move on with our lives and no one will even dare to protest. Let's keep praying and hoping it all ends well.

Yeah ,you're just an applicant right now, you are not yet a staff, so why can't you keep quiet, you make noise and they still don't employ you, won't it be a waste of time and energy?

The truth is, when you are from a failed state like ours, positions like this becomes a given. Citizens of saner states will not even think of this happening, talk less of accepting it when it happens.

Applicants should feel entitled, at least, to know the stage the recruitment process is and have a timescale for the conclusion of same. Unfortunately, we are in a state where we are not entitled to even the most basic of all things. How can we be entitled to this?

Somehow, we have managed to adopt the, "they owe us nothing syndrome". It is a pitiable situation, one that we hope to talk about in the past and not present in the future.

It's sad that we have come to embrace the wrong things in Nigeria and it is also funny how some of us believe we don't have a say in this because our employer is the government. Now is the only time you can speak up, trust me! By the time you eventually get into service, you can't even complain of "A". Whatever you see is what you will get. Complaints won't even make head way.

Take a look at the recent promotion, 2020 promotion taking place towards the end of 2021. Sadly no officer could come out to openly complain of their dissatisfaction because they have taken an oath which they have to abide by.

Now is the only time you can speak up oo, now as a Bloody Civilian. And I can assure us here that speaking up won't stop anyone from getting this job as the only way you won't get this job is if it's not your call to be in the service as an officer.

However, the recruitment can't be cancelled at this final stage. COVID was the best excuse to cancel it but fortunately for us, that wasn't used. Let's not forget there is a Senate Committee on Customs too. There has to be a very good reason to convince that committee on why the CG put their money (funds budgeted for the recruitment) to waste.
