Lies, all lies. Over 70% got this job without knowing anyone or connect or back door .the truth is we don't know the criteria for final selection. Been shortlisted for screening should not be confused with employment. I remember in gwagwalada, one senior officer addressed us and he sounded it clear that we have not gotten the job yet. From the that day, I was only praying for my name to come out. I didn't deceive myself thinking I have gotten it because I attended screening. I hoped for 50-50.
What if u failed medical tests, we don't know the tests carried out. For example
Flat foot person cannot be in paramilitary, it's standard procedure for shorlistment in most paramilitary outfit

I talked with someone in Abuja (old customs secretariat) when we came for documentation.
He explained his friend's name did not come out and he new that his name will not come out judging from the look of the nurses at gwagwalada when he did height test. The nurses saw his flat foot and turned their head several times indicating disqualification. When he climbed, the where satisfied with his height and foot. Long story short, his name came out but his friend's name did not appear
I heard this same story again from different sources the next day I came to complete my documentation at the secretariat.

Flat foot is a no-no for paramilitary and military in most cases.

So it was flat foot and why we come carry our creditial dey go? �

Must you insult me. Why can't graduates behave like one. U can still comment without insult take or leave it, credentials is not enough.

Medical tests in paramilitary is as important as credentials, this is not normal white collar job

If u have first class or second class, there are other people with the same result. If you have hnd, other people have hnd certificates.

This job is God's grace and not by certificate alone, don't discredit something that is good just because it didn't happen in your way, that's the spirit of selfishness. When it's your time, no man can stop it.

To be sincere NCS salary is not something you can get info about online... Just imagine, before getting the job. I have an uncle that is an officer. When ask him he will be beating around the grasses... As if he is not receiving the salary... But when I told him I got the job...
He now told me about the salary in a low voice that even the wife can't hear our conversation... I was just choked with surprised... Y dis secrecy as if na key to paradise u dey hide.... Den he warned me seriously if I love the job... Den make I mind the way I go around sharing confidential info about NCS...

It's okay to feel this way when things don't go our way, but believe me it's possible that more than half can be screened out based on medical issue, if you've ever been for Navy DSSC screening and medicals where like half and sometimes more than half are screened out based on one medical issue or the other and documents discrepancies, you won't come here to say all you're spewing now. So here's an advice , some of this medical conditions that caused some people to be screened out can be corrected, the supplementary list is another chance if you're still interested in the job, go to the hospital run this tests and see which you have an issue with and find way to correct it if it can be, make sure your documents are in order, like no issue of different date of birth or names. You might just be lucky for this second time.

Bros you are very correct. Only those who have been to Navy training will understand. They will literally tell everyone while they are not successful. Unfortunately, NCS isn't doing that. I hope people aggrieved can heed your advice. Shalom

For your info, no arm of service under the arm forces run the most scam screening like Navy. Navy will make you feel like you're incapacitated to be in the organization.

As experience dude wey I be I dey run my medicals before I go for Navy medicals. Later later then go tell you say protein too much for your urine. Then go make you look like mumu. Suffer finish at last then go pick 4 or 5 persons per state and most of these persons get person wey stand for them.

Abeg make we leave matter for matthias. Wetin be your own no go pass you by.
