South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, released a couple of review units of the Galaxy Fold and the first batch of result appears to be all very bad. Twitter is currently on fire with broken Samsung Galaxy Fold display.

At least four of the reviewers have tweeted various types of display defunct. Reviewers from The Verge, CNBC and Bloomberg have all lamented malfunctioning of the Galaxy Fold display just about two days after they received the device. See the tweets below;

As for Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, he removed what looked like a protective film on the display of the Galaxy Fold and the malfunction started. In his case, the malfunction may be associated with the protective film. See the tweets below;

Also, popular leakster, @evleaks also complained of “a large white hollow on edges of the screen”. Furthermore, he said that the hollow grows hourly. See the tweets below;

Is Foldable Display Technology Really Ready?

With all these complaints coming in, can we be safe that the foldable screen technology is not yet ready or it’s just a half job done by Samsung? Well, we will have to keep our fingers crossed to ascertain whether this display problem is a widespread issue or its isolated.
