My kid sister wants to enter into teaching career. She has NCE in Economics and Social Studies, and also B.Ed in same course. Does anyone know any training or certification she needs to build a sound teaching career. She would be glad to teaching in British Schools. comments, suggestion and advice shall be appreciated.

British Schools in what country?

What age group/level is she interested in?

Is she teaching already, think she should start first then sourcing for training and certifications

Thanks for your reply.  I mean schools that use british curriculum/montessori schools.  Shes interested in Secondary school.  She has been attending interviews, and hopes to start one by this month.  She is a new graduate that passed out July this year.

She should start teaching first. As she goes on by the first six months she would have known the direction she wants to take - younger children, older children, curriculum studies, etc
As she goes along she should also familiarise herself with the various teaching methods available (montessori, using all these new fancy teaching gadgets etc) , read the vacancies to see what the big schools look for in the teachers they want and if she doesn't have such certifications begin to acquire them. as this is going on she will be having experience under her belt. certifications and diplomas are sometimes useless if you don't have actual work experience.
she should also work on herself(if necessary) as most of these Britico type schools look for other qualities such as your diction, personality, looks , how knowledgeable and sound you are cos you will be teaching kids that are not your public school type so you need to be sharp with your knowledge and information.
