UNIMAID Names New Vice Chancellor:

Professor Aliyu Shugaba has been named the new Vice Chancellor of University of Maiduguri (Unimaid).

The chairman of the Governing Council of the University while announcing the appointment said that Professor Shugaba emerged the first out of the 12 professors that contested for the position with 83.8% score.

Professor Aliyu Shugaba will take over the affairs of the university in June 2019 at the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent VC, Professor Ibrahim Njodi.

Professor Shugaba is the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Services, He's also a fellow of the Institute of Professional Entrepreneur and strategic administrators member institute of chartered chemists of Nigeria member institute of Public Analyst of Nigeria and member Nigeria society for Biochemistry and molecular biology. He has also attended many national and international conferences and workshops and has over twenty research publications to his credit. He is happly married with children.
