The new minimum wage and the old minimum wage seems to be the same thing. I wondered whether we have a labour Union in this country.

Price of fuel was 87 naira and minimum wage was 18,000 naira.
18,000÷87=206.8965517 litres ( meaning the minimum wage can only buy 207 litres of fuel)
30,000÷145= 206.8965517 litres (meaning the minimum wage can only buy 207 litres of fuel), exactly the same amount even to the last decimal point.

My question: Is this coincidental or deliberate?

A lot of us don't know the difference between the Real wage and the NOMINAL wage.

The ONLY problem Nigeria needs to solve is the Exchange rate, we get that right and the jigsaw is almost solved

206.89655172 Even to the 8th decimal place!

It couldn't have been a mere coincidence.

OP, you're very correct.

And let me add that the new wage is even worse when you factor in Exchange Rate:

2014: N18,000 = $122

2019: N30,000 = $82
